Iran's large missile arsenal had a very specific purpose: To serve as a deterrent that discourages Israeli or US attack, or to make any war shorter by pressing the enemy to end it sooner. Iran completely failed to achieve this objective. US and Israel have been pounding Iran for a month now. Iran's missile fire totally failed to prevent this war or cut it short. As such, from a grand strategy point of view Iran's missiles have been largely useless.
