Some of us would like to get alerts for real issues like earthquakes or things that are actually an imminent danger close enough that it's relevant. So how about just fixing the amber alert problem. There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for this to be blasted out at 1AM to tens of thousands people who were in NO POSITION to do ANYTHING. I'm on Vancouver Island FFS!
