I watched a documentary yesterday where a woman went to the police and said she’s been getting vile emails off her ex from 20 years ago, you see her on the body cam talking to the police with all the evidence including being sent pics of her husband going to work from the stalker

For the last three years the NHS (England) have run at 93% bed occupancy. This is the worst in the history of the NHS It is the worst in the entire OCED We also have 40% fewer beds than the OCED average Again, for the cheap seats: the NHS is too small!

"UK's biggest ever environmental pollution claim reaches High Court." Good luck to everyone in the High Court today. Speaks volumes that decent people like gillie Nathan Jubb @gillieUB keep having to resort to the courts just to get something done while the regulators do nothing, absolutely nothing. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Roundup often gets a bad rap since it, you know, causes cancer and other terminal illnesses. But don’t forget it played a huge role in collapsing the bee population, which may lead to the most deaths in the long run.
Mother Jones@MotherJones

The controversial weed killer Roundup is now being deployed in private and public forests at record rates. We go inside the secret plan that helped make it possible. motherjones.com/politics/2026/…

@cem_uk_ In the corporate world it's actually very normal to have a drink at a business lunch or dinner. Nobody is getting smashed but a glass of wine or 2, or a whisky whilst you're discussing financials and profitability is completely normal.

Call me crazy, but I don't think there should be a bar in parliament, tax-payer funded or not. I think any politician who goes into work drunk, should be kicked out of their job, same as they would be in literally any other job.

Planting trees is certainly good. But it doesn't create a forest. Existing forests should be aggressively protected. There is NO substitute for a natural forest.

@pepperbug can't speak on the harness training but for flea and tick prevention: in my experience cats absolutely hate it, like you put the goo on and for the next few hours they get super jumpy/worked up. that's a normal response, but if it's worse than that (1/2)

@TriciaDearborn That sounds very true. i know an elderly perdon who watches ai YouTube 'stories'. They are very dull to me because the stories barely make sense, in exactly the way you describe. They are a string of tropes lacking any narrative arc that aligns with my understanding of 'story'.

If you're thinking about using gen-AI to "write" books, this 🧵 is for you. I’m a highly experienced editor who’s been in the biz a long time. Recently I’ve had manuscripts come to me where the author has used gen-AI – not for writing, I’ve been assured, but for
