The NYS Legislature just passed my bill to repeal a dormant, dangerous anti-immigrant law. The law we repealed was enacted during the Red Scare, and it would let the governor force noncitizens from designated countries to register with the government, and require landlords and hotels to report on them daily. In Trump's America, dormant laws like this have the potential to be weaponized. Thankfully, we're getting rid of it. I'm proud to fight alongside NY4All champions @KarinesReyes87, @CatalinaCruzNY, and @tonysimone MELT Act. This bill passed as part of the budget, which now awaits Gov. Hochul's signature.

As I told @jonfavs, If AI isn't safe for kids, it shouldn't be available to kids. I delivered the strongest AI safety bill in the country here in NY, but there's more to do. In Albany, I'm advancing a bill with @Gonzalez4NY that would prohibit AI companies from making their products available to kids if they don't make them safe for kids. I'm running for Congress to do the same, and to make sure no parent is forced to share the Raine family's pain.

Private equity is taking our homes. It's taking our hospitals. It's taking beloved local businesses and stripping them for parts. And now private equity is running the Red Sox into the ground. Our new ad ⬇️

NEW internal poll from @AlexBores shows him leading with 21%, up 1 point over @MicahLasher and 4 points ahead of @JBKSchlossberg. 28% undecided.

@admcrlsn This actually seems kind of like a bad poll for Bores? Lasher is gaining from Jack fading.

Newly released poll from Alex Bores’ campaign in NY-12 (Hart Research, 5/6 - 5/9, n=400 LV), along with movement from their 3/9 - 3/13 poll: 🟣 21% Bores (+2) 🟡 20% Lasher (+6) 🟢 17% Schlossberg (-5) 🟠 10% Conway (0) 🟤 3% Schwalbe (-1) ⚪️ 1% Other (-1) ⚫️ 28% Undecided (0)

The number of people in D.C. who think AI is like crypto and therefore you can just throw money at lobbyists to get their preferred outcome is astonishingly high given they are quite obviously wrong.
