[GRID CONSTRAINT vs GRID DEMAND] South Africa is experiencing a GRID DEMAMD from IPPs that are developing new plants in areas that currently have low transmission coverage. This is not a GRID CONSTRAINT, it’s a demand. The GRID CONSTRAINT narrative is about who pays. By framing the issue as a CONSTRAINT the narrative shifts from a specific business requirement to a general national crisis, which justify for the taxpayers or users to pay for infrastructure that solely benefits private developers. In the USA where Data Centers are driving power and grid demand, the regulators and utilities are now using Pay-to Play approach. Hyperscalers like Microsoft, Google and Amazon are forced to pay for the upgrades they trigger.

Operation Rolling Thunder. From 1965 to 1968, the United States conducted a sustained bombing campaign against North Vietnam. The goal was to break the will of the North Vietnamese government and people. To make the cost of continuing the war too high to bear. They dropped 864,000 tons of bombs. The will was not broken. So they escalated. Operation Linebacker. Operation Linebacker II, the Christmas Bombings of 1972: twelve days of around-the-clock bombing of Hanoi and Haiphong, described by some U.S. generals as trying to "bomb them back to the Stone Age." Hospitals were hit. Residential areas were hit. Bạch Mai Hospital, the largest hospital in North Vietnam, was hit repeatedly. After the Christmas Bombings, the North Vietnamese negotiating position at the Paris Peace talks did not weaken. It strengthened. They bombed us into refusing to surrender. Every bomb that fell on a hospital, every family killed in their home, every village erased from the map created ten more people who would die before they accepted foreign domination. This is what American strategists, with all their degrees and all their think tanks and all their war games, failed to understand about the people they were trying to break. You cannot bomb dignity out of people who have decided they would rather die than give it up.

I’m calling bullshit on this figure. There are only 9 SAns with wealth above R9,5 billion. Only 1 of them is a BEE beneficiary whose net worth is R61 billion. Which means the other 99 would have to have on average R9,5 billion each. But there is not even one other black person with wealth above R9,5 billion. So yeah. Complete bullshit.
WSM@TheJaundicedEye

The ANC, Ramaphosa downwards, has knives out for Prof William Gumede over his demolition of the BEE scam. Latest bombshell: secret mining research found 46 politically connected people secured 60% of BEE deals, becoming millionaires or billionaires overnight. Senegal are likely to argue that they did not abandon the game, the match was completed by the referee’s whistle. They can say Article 82 was misapplied because the game continued under the same circumstances and reached its natural end. The referee allowing Senegal back on the pitch and Morocco happily continuing the game will be used to state the match - and result - was valid. As the final was completed, they can argue the integrity of the game was upheld. They can also claim changing the winner of a completed final is an extreme overreach by the Appeal Board. And that the punishment for a delay - not a refusal to play as they finished the game - is excessive.

I wonder if IDC like the others require you to either have one or a combo of: - White or - Indian partner - Zim partner or accountant - Kenyan accountant - Ugandan partner With the last three, it is a nightmare to navigate the SA finance world without them. @feziledhlamini_

In a truly world-class performance, Adriaan Wildschutt made history as the first South African to win this iconic race. Making his 21 km debut, Wildschutt clocked an incredible 59:30, pulling away from the pack after the 15 km mark to finish 11 seconds clear of the field. Huge congratulations to Adriaan Wildschutt for claiming the NYC Half Marathon victory! 🏃‍♂️🇿🇦 #TeamSA #ForMyCountry

PLEASE REPOST: I built South Africa's first black-owned electric vehicle company. I have deployed 70+ EVs with Blue Chip Companies, Local SMEs and exported to the UAE. I have invested R9.5 million of my own money over 10 years. The IDC has given me R0. They gave a white-owned competitor R69.9 million. Thread. 🧵 @businessXplain @ParliamentofRSA @sedfa_dsbd @DSBD_SA @the_dtic @IDCSouthAfrica @PublicProtector @NAFCOCKZN

I have a story for a news channel or newspaper regarding the IDC. We have made our submission to the Parliamentary Committee and a petition. Please comment or DM me. This is a fight I have been going through for 8 years; it could even go to court now. Thanks.

For as long as we have people making money off division, we'll have division. There are people bolstering racial division by selling old apartheid thinking ideas to the clingers of "the good old days" The days life was good for the whites and terribly bad for black people.

He is decapacitating the state under the pretext of fast service - IDs through banks. No one is asking how 3rd parties (banks) managed to receive access to personal files of citizens held by the state without their consent & at an extra fee they would have ordinarily paid at Home Affairs. Years later, we will have banks that behave like the private security companies which gained access to SAPS files. Where is proof of public consultation for the transfer of state files to banks in order to conduct ID
