I'm attempting to apply gamma/srgb correction to the classic three color gradient and … it's not what I'm used to, but it looks nice! First image is interpolating in srgb space and second is interpolating in linear space (unless I have bugs in the code)

ok so A-B intuitively sounds like the vector from A to B, but my heuristic is that it's the opposite of my expectation, and so B-A should be the vector from A to B, but wait, I'm expecting my heuristic and so the opposite of my expectation is uuuh *gaslights myself*

@Frankiethor @ardovalexey The sRGB gamut, which is the shape being drawn, is a smaller object in p3 space - because the space itself is bigger. You can turn on the p3 gamut too and that will be a larger cube in p3 space

@ardovalexey Wow this is wonderful! O.O One question: why is p3 smaller than srgb? Shouldn't it be the opposite?

Built this app for myself and regularly use it to explain color spaces visually. It also comes in handy and saves a ton of time when I want to take screenshots.

@j_bertolotti @skdh Looks like they fill the disk with a golden angle "sunflower" then reverse this exact relationship to project to the sphere.

A wonderful analogy from the conference I'm at. ChatGPT is like a humanities graduate. It has read a lot, can talk convincingly about anything, but has a hazy relationship with the truth and isn't very good at maths.
