@AndersMadrid @vintagemapstore It's clearly just an AI map that someone is trying to pass off as ancient and Italian

@oldgamling @neilojim1972 @PollakDan @theSolCinema @ianssmart Allied airmen who crashed in Ireland were repatriated to Britain, Nazi airmen were imprisoned. De Valera also executed IRA men in Ireland during the war. So a diplomatic protocol to the German ambassador is hardly evidence of 'simping'
English

@neilojim1972 @PollakDan @theSolCinema @ianssmart This helps how? It’s just evidence of De Valera simping for a Nazi over doing what’s right.
English

@going4golds @theSolCinema @ianssmart Nope. Anglo-Normans, or even more accurately Cambrian Normans, in 1169... more than a century after the Norman French conquest of England.
English

@theSolCinema @ianssmart It was the Norman French who first started to colonise Ireland,

@andyc4815 @rtenews There was no one on Greenland when the Vikings arrived, so definitely nothing to plunder there Andy.
English

@rtenews The Vikings plundered all over Europe even going as fas as Greenland.
President Donald Trump will purchase Greenland whereas the Vikings acquired it and paid nothing.
The Arctic is now melting making Greenland more accessible to Russia, China.
English

US President Donald Trump has escalated his quest to acquire Greenland, threatening multiple European nations with tariffs of up to 25% until his purchase of the Danish territory is achieved

I'm having my work Christmas party tonight
However, since I work for myself and on my own, I'll be just drinking 8 cans of Budwiser and photocopying my arse with a HP Photosmart C310 printer
Then, I might, if I'm lucky, have sex with myself in the broom closet

@nwl88444048 There are a lot of variables in using a cadaver dog, they only indicate not 'find' and in my experience the indicate a lot of false positives. Good for more recent remains but poor results in Ireland on scenes that are decades old.

@_Punjabi_Dude_ Archaeologists generally don't talk millions of years, they don't examine dinosaur footprints either
English

1000 years max and they'll disappear completely due to erosion.
Archaeologist like to go crazy with numbers and talk millions of years like nothing.
@
Amid a drought, the Dinosaur Valley State Park discovered dinosaur footprints that have historically been covered by water and sediment. They date back more than 113 million years.

@dabelfastgirl @rtenews 'so-called' because that's not the full or proper name of the Commission

@mooregroup @cmount1 The key is your last sentence, this will be relatively expensive, I'm with Charles, use QGIS. Also, I don't know a single archaeologist employed exclusively on GIS projects
English

@Happymanicdepre I think it might have been the turn of the Irish Met Office to name this one. They sadly didn't get the memo.
