शनिवारच्या संध्याकाळी माझे हृदय प्रेमाच्या वर्षावाने आणि अवर्णनीय आनंदाने भरून आले होते. मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, सांस्कृतिक कार्यमंत्री आशिष शेलार, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष राहुल नार्वेकर यांच्यासह मान्यवरांच्या, स्नेहीजनांच्या आणि कुटुंबियांच्या उपस्थितीत ' टाइमलाइन' या माझ्या पुस्तकाचे प्रकाशन अतीव देखण्या सोहळ्यात संपन्न झाले... लोकमतमधल्या माझ्या सहकाऱ्यांनी जीव लावून हा कार्यक्रम उभा केला होता... कुणाकुणाचे आभार मानू? माझ्या आनंदाला शब्द नव्हते हेच खरे.... मुंबईच्या रविंद्र नाट्यमंदिरातील पु. ल. देशपांडे कला अकादमीचे थिएटर प्रेमाने फुलून गेले होते... सगळ्या खुर्च्या भरून गेल्या तरी स्नेही सोबत्यांच्या आगमनाची रीघ थांबली नाही.... मी नि:शब्द झालो होतो. माझे ज्येष्ठ बंधू आणि लोकमत समूहाचे अध्यक्ष विजयभैय्यांच्या नजरेतही आनंदाचे पाणी तरळताना मी पाहिले... आयुष्यात सुख म्हणजे आणखी काय असते? नेत्ररोगतज्ज्ञ पद्मश्री डॉ. तात्याराव लहाने, पोटविकारतज्ज्ञ पद्मश्री डॉ. अमित मायदेव, चित्रपट दिग्दर्शक पद्मश्री मधुर भांडारकर, ज्येष्ठ गायिका पद्मश्री पद्मजा फेणाणी जोगळेकर, सुलेखनकार पद्मश्री अच्युत पालव या पद्मश्री विजेत्यांची व्यासपीठावर उपस्थिती होती. मंत्री, अधिकारी, उद्योगपती, पत्रकार, कलावंत, विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांच्या उपस्थितीने सभागृह खचाखच भरले होते. सर्वांचे प्रेम, आकृत्रिम स्नेह भारावून टाकणारा होता.
