♦️ URGENT ♦️ Metro routes between Line 7,2 and 9 needs to consider passenger convenience. With starting of new Metro 9 from Dahisar East to Mira Bhayandar and merging it with Metro 7, the passengers from Anand Nagar to Andheri West on Metro 2 are highly inconvenienced as they have now to Change trains at Dahisar East Station for getting in to Metro 7 to reach Gundavali adding 10-15 minutes to their travel time in addition to the hassles of changing trains. This is getting still worse as the trains from Mira Rd on Line 9 are getting jam packed and the passengers from Metro 2 are finding it hard to get in. This is same old story of mumbai local trains for us Dahisarkars. It is suggested that the new Metro line should be terminated at Dahisar East and the old pattern of seamless travel on Metro 2 and Metro 7 from Gundavali to and from Andheri West continue uninterrupted. This is more logical also as Metro 9 route is designed as Dahisar East to / from Mira Bhayandar. Urgent Pedestrian Safety Crisis at IC Colony (Mandapeshwar) Metro Station I am writing to bring your immediate attention to the deteriorating traffic and pedestrian situation at the IC Colony Metro Station. Currently, the infrastructure designed for commuters is being completely misused: • Footpaths: The entire pedestrian walkway is fully occupied by auto-rickshaws, leaving zero space for people to walk. • Road Encroachment: Half of the main road is also taken over by parked autos, creating a massive bottleneck for moving traffic. • Safety Risk: Commuters, including senior citizens and children, are being forced to walk in the middle of the road amidst heavy traffic just to access the station. This is a major "last-mile connectivity" failure. While we appreciate the Metro, the lack of regulation for auto-rickshaws at this exit is making the commute a daily nightmare and a safety hazard. Requesting: 1. Immediate deployment of traffic police to clear the road. 2. Permanent bollards or enforcement to keep footpaths free for pedestrians. 3. A designated, regulated pick-up/drop-off zone for autos that doesn't choke the main thoroughfare.
