@RickRouth @loyalmoses @WeLikeShooting Because if @loyalmoses is saying that support of the channel would be HALF of Polymaker's marketing budget, we, as a bootstrapped US manufacturer, will certainly not be able to afford him. No CCP money or loan guarantees on our side, either 😔

Did Polymaker and I break up? After 5 years of collaboration? There were some serious issues, and sometimes you have to move on to build something bigger. More details soon... Watch the full SPICY video here: youtube.com/live/4YH0YyNS9…

I went to a HOOTERS precisely once, outside of Ft. Dix in New Jersey. Taking my NCOs out for dinner at the end of a job. They had originally voted for a strip club, which I said was no bueno. It was an odd experience having "family dining" in a place where the object of the thing was to ogle some young working gal young enough to be your daughter.

Congress is whining because they don’t think they make enough. Not only do I think they should be making less, but I think there should be serious investigations into their insider trading. Let me know what you think.

@TaraBull If he’s got a problem with this, then he shouldn’t have started dating a PAWG. Besides, I’ve seen women in baggy sweatpants cheat. If she’s going to cheat, she’s going to do so regardless of what she’s wearing. Some men are really just weak.

Kay-pon Ass-ig-n8 Drakma? (surely a misspelling?), oh dram, I see I went with a combo of puerile and feral, just a wild guess For me is idyll the id in id or eye-d ? Probably the former. Wondering is there any en_IE/en_UK/en_US variation Wasn't very fair getting my Polish gf to read these out.

@amyoder That's not so, actually. One of the two simplest IQ tests you can give a person in any language is vocabulary in their primary language. It works whatever the size of the language's vocabulary actually is. The other one is testing the ability to do 3D spatial rotations.

English is probably the only language where you can measure someone’s IQ by how well they know how to speak it. English has ~600,000 words. Do other languages have more words? Yes. But English is far better at describing things because it focuses much more on adjectives and adverbs rather than just nouns. Arabic has 100+ words for “Camel”. English has one. But English has 10,000 words that can be used to describe the camel’s appearance, temperament, character, physicality, etc. You get a much clearer picture of what this specific camel looks, sounds, and smells like. It’s much easier to appreciate a story like Romeo and Juliet when you view it as an evangelization arm of the English language (and culture), rather than just a homework assignment. This is likely the reason why the British were so dominant. They were significantly better at organizing and motivating their people *because of* their excellence of communication. English >

Just finished Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton! To quickly describe the novel: Take the Story of Beowulf and re-tell it with Muslim Bilbo (complete with being a short "lucky number 13") getting surprise adopted by a group of vikings who are on their way to slay monsters. What results is the most "Dad-coded" book I've read in a while: Battle-bonding, raunchy jokes, boozing, "Women, am I right fellas?", random history lore-drops, and pranking the new guy. I mean this all in a good way since it's a solid and good time. I don't think it's Crichton's best work (Jurassic Park is hard to beat), and is a little slow to get started, but once it gets going I can tell he's having fun and he wants the reader to have fun as well. It's also a good example of a "delayed coming of age" story where someone older is pulled into the Hero's Journey. Usually kicking and screaming. I give it 4.5 "These Heathens Need to Take a Bath" out of 5.

Boomer opinion: men and women under 50 need to abandon dating apps. Your chances of finding someone worth your time aren't improved by treating the project like you're shopping on Amazon. Someone who is worth your time is out there in the real world. Doing real things. Quit desperately relying on software. Be someone who gets out of the house, goes places, and does stuff. Yes, this is exactly how I met my wife 34 years ago, and I've seen nothing this century so far to convince me the way we did it in Ye Olden Times is somehow wrong, or doesn't work. The most important part of this is (of course) to *be* someone other people will want. Not on a profile. Not through the imaginary world of an app. But in the real world. Have real skills. Have a real personality. Clean your ass up. Dress for the occasion(s). Lose some weight. Be fit. A nation of perma-homebodies who don't know how to talk to each other and who don't know how to look nor sound good in everyday social settings is spiraling into despair on their phones. It doesn't have to be this way.

i have literally seen men swipe right until they reach the limit for the day and receive zero replies. it’s not that men need to lower their standards, it is the women that need to lower their standards.

@BobbyBorkIII I hate the newer ones where it’s just a tablet screen sticking out of the dash. Careful complaining about this, though. Some random Tesla owners will show up and be all “oh, you say you don’t like this technology, but you have a smart phone? Curious!”
