On this day in 1943, an 42 year old Dutch Jewish woman arrived at the Sobibor extermination camp where she perished. Her 3 children all perished in Auschwitz in 1942. Her husband perished in Auschwitz in Feb 1942. Her name was Esther Nunes Vaz-Beesemer

On this day in 1927, a Czech Jewish girl was born. On the 5 Jul 1943 she was deported to Theresienstadt & on the 6 Sep 1943 to Auschwitz with her mother and sister (20) where they all perished. Her name was Věra Richtmannová

Well #IPEF was more about standards and #trade agreements such as #USMCA and #WTO have binding provisions, which seem impossible for #trump and his posse.

There's a big difference between trade deals and trade agreements. Trade deals are limited, short term, and often superficial (remember IPEF?). Trade agreements are comprehensive, long term, substantive, and require Congressional approval. US isn't doing the latter.

The damage to US research and to world tecnology is horrific - it wipes out a generation of young scientists. Whatever harm Trump Admin wants to wreak on universities or to save federal dollars, this destruction cannot be justified. It can be stopped.
