My friend in the exotic automotive space just sent me this regarding the Ferrari Luce and Mercedes GT: “I was chatting with some Mercedes people at their event last week and journalists about why manufacturers keep dropping these electric cars that nobody asked for — and it actually makes a lot of sense once you hear it. The EU has this rule where every car brand’s ENTIRE lineup has to average below a certain emissions number. Not per car — the whole fleet. And if they miss it, they get fined like €95 for every single gram they’re over, multiplied by every car they sold that year. We’re talking hundreds of millions. So every EV they sell pulls that average down. Which means they can keep making the V8s and AMGs and ICE cars we actually love without getting destroyed by regulators. So that MB electric GT 4-Door and the Ferrari Luce? Those aren’t passion projects. That’s compliance math. The irony is those EVs you hate might literally be the reason your favorite ICE cars still exist. Mind-bending but that’s the game right now.”

Ferrari said the goal of the Luce EV’s design was to achieve the lowest coefficient of drag. The Luce has a 0.254 Cd. For some comparison: • Model S: 0.208 Cd • Model 3: 0.219 Cd • Model Y: 0.23 Cd • Model X: 024 Cd Just proves that having the lowest possible Cd doesn’t mean you have to design an ugly car.

Took my 16 year old to look at cars today. At first he loved the Toyota Camry we looked at, but when he saw the seats were cloth he hard vetoed it. They have another one with leather seats, but it’s an XLE and costs $5k more. How can I change his mind so I can save some money?

@WallStreetMav Rulers have historically used serfs for 2 reasons, work until dead, or battlefield meat shield. The only feasible reasons to subsidize useless serfs, would be medical experiments, launching them into space to test habitability, and AI neural integration research

I will take the other side of this "unlimited abundance" prediction and bet that it won't play out like this. We simply don't have unlimited amounts of metals to mine and satisfy everyone. There are so many different critical metals that are struggling to maintain current levels of production. Forget about everyone getting whatever they want.

I was advised by my doctor that I am pre-diabetes. So I started the keto diet a few weeks ago, have lost 20 lbs just eating steaks and eggs, water. Today was my first fasting blood sugar test below 100 mg/dL. It was 96. Keto diet does work to fix diabetes, no medicine required.
