@andythegymrat @revpaulwhite I wasn’t being entirely serious and agree if a place of worship isn’t being used and doesn’t have any historical or aesthetic value then why not a mosque?

@AcuteEngels @revpaulwhite I get the sentiment but if you take that too far, all we’d end up with is more and more derelict buildings, or spending money to maintain buildings that aren’t used.

When do wars get names? When Chamberlain declared war on Germany for invading Poland it wasn't immediately named World War 2, because it wasn't. It grew into that. So what is the future name of this war, I wonder...

Crime is down again in London, which is good news. Unfortunately it’s rising steeply in Kent and Sussex, where South East Water is committing daylight robbery on the public while its executives laugh in our faces.

This is what true patriotism looks like! A sad middle aged man, puffed up to look like Rod Stewart & an immigrant himself, eating ‘English’ grub in an Islamic country whilst slagging off the UK, Islam and migrants. Charlie Muggins: Our Fluff Our Stain Our Belch Our Stray Pube. 🇬🇧

More problems with my front lawn nativity tableau. But in olden days, shepherds almost certainly got lonely, and might well have developed tender feelings for their favourite sheep. I believe I have depicted this eventuality very tastefully, despite what the police are saying.

Fremlin's was a brewery in Maidstone, Kent, England. It was established by Ralph Fremlin in 1861, who eschewed the pub trade and focused on bottled beer, on religious grounds. The beer was known for the distinctive elephant logo on the bottles.

@thewritertype Not sure which is worse, editing Trump’s speech or justifying his ridiculous accusations against the BBC.

The BBC needs maintenance work, not demolition, unless you want it replaced by a sinister clown show like Fox News, or forced to advertise to make it as shitty as everything else. If so, you don't understand what makes it unique, and quite possibly how to tie your own shoes.

Cuomo is a truly despicable individual, and presumably that's who some leaders of the Democratic Party will vote for over @ZohranKMamdani Just think about that for a minute.
Nick Garber@nick_garber

Cuomo, talking to conservative radio host Sid Rosenberg this morning: "God forbid, another 9/11—can you imagine Mamdani in the seat?" Cuomo asks. "He'd be cheering," Rosenberg says. Cuomo paused and chuckled before saying: "That's another problem."

While the ice house is mentioned in historical documents as the "Snow Well" or "Ice Well", its precise location within Greenwich Park is unknown.

King Charles II played a role in popularizing ice houses by having one built in London's Upper St. James's Park (now Green Park) in 1660. In the 17th century, ice houses were introduced to Britain, with the first ones appearing around 1660.

@lachlan I thought that reporting was odd as £30k would buy a very ordinary new car. So I’m not sure of the point they were making.

Sir, I am disgusted by the BBC, which I never watch, and was outraged by their latest display of disrespect, which I didn’t see, and will be even more furious about whatever they do next, even though they haven’t done it yet and I won’t watch it. I’m so angry and lonely. Help me.
