Police have launched a manhunt after two teenage girls were raped on a British beach in Great Yarmouth. But Tommy Robinson et al won't talk about this because the alleged suspects are two White men in their 30s.

More than 150 people, including 120 children, were killed in Iran when an airstrike hit a school in Minab. Although a preliminary US military investigation determined Washington was responsible, the Trump administration is yet to formally accept responsibility. Sky's @DominicWaghorn is the first international journalist to visit Minab. Warning: contains distressing content.

@IlkleyJohn @PolitlcsUK Yeah this would be nice my only major gripe with this government for me has been its slow shift right and it’s continued unwavering support for Israel and the use of Palantir in the NHS.

The manifesto should be considered to be a contract of Government. No party should be allowed to stray from it or introduce something new without some form of referendum. This Government lied to get elected, destroyed the Labour brand and deserves to be sunk without trace along with the Tories.

@IlkleyJohn @PolitlcsUK The whole thing for me is just a farce we give governments a 4 year mandate a change in leadership means nothing for policies. Ik there’s been some controversy but it’s minor in the grand schemes of things and some measures are looking good considering global events atm.

@AdamWAFC_ @PolitlcsUK I don’t think that his place in Parliament is assured. I also don’t think that Starmer will help him get there. I expect some tricky issues will be raised. Let’s see.

@IlkleyJohn @PolitlcsUK Yeah I think this whole thing has been blown up just so the media can have something to talk about if he does become Labour leader nothing major will change. The only difference will be that maybe he’s more palatable for the general population and more so for the working class.

Apologies, I accidentally blocked you when I was aiming for someone else. I was making the point that technically he has to be selected by the Makerfield CLP. In doing so he is obliged to follow party policy. If he wants to spout off about changing Labour policy, before being selected, then surely he needs to stand as an independent. He is hoping to stand as a Labour candidate whilst expressing views contrary to their current manifesto. He is getting ahead of himself.

@IlkleyJohn @PolitlcsUK Why would he stand as an independent when we all know this is so he can challenge for the leadership of Labour. We wouldn’t have this by-election if it wasn’t for this. He will have some policies of his own, my original point was he won’t be making promises about major changes.

Burnham is hoping to be selected by the CLP to stand as a Labour candidate for the Makerfield constituency, presumably on their current party manifesto. If he wants to stand on his own policies that are in any way different to the current Labour Party's policies then surely he should stand as an independent.

@IlkleyJohn @PolitlcsUK Or because he’s not got a manifesto and something as big as that would realistically require a general election to show the support of voters.

@PolitlcsUK Your first paragraph is more than misleading, it’s false. He DOES want to rejoin the EU, he’s just (conveniently) saying not now. Burnham will say whatever suits at the time for whatever audience he’s aiming at.

Far-right influencer EDobbin went to Tommy Robinson’s march and filmed himself harassing a 15-year-old girl in front of her mum. Even after they told him her age and walked away, he followed her, asking for her “details” and said she should have a “warning sign” on her.

The far-right were also racially abusing Black and Brown police officers yesterday. But it’s not a racist march, right?
