Participated in the Annual General Body Meeting of the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Thiruvananthapuram Branch — one of the most active and vibrant branches of AeSI. Honoured to receive felicitations on assuming the role of National President of AeSI. The Thiruvananthapuram team is carrying out extensive professional and outreach activities, inspiring the next generation and strengthening the aerospace ecosystem. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with many former Chairpersons and office bearers whose dedication built this institution over decades. In my remarks, I shared that for many associated with AeSI, contributing to this professional society is not merely a responsibility, but an emotion. A new chapter of engagement with AeSI begins today. I take on the role of National President of Aeronautical Society of India with deep respect for its legacy. With me is a fine team of Vice Presidents and Governing council members and mentors. AeSI has been shaped by some of India’s finest minds, including Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Prof. Satish Dhawan, who helped build the foundation of our aerospace journey. My journey at Indian Space Research Organisation has shown me what collective vision and work can achieve. At AeSI, I hope to take this legacy forward. We will create a vision and plan to engage with R&D labs, PSUs, industry, academia and students for inspiration and support innovation that serves the nation. Grateful for the trust. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Tejas’s maiden flight (Jan 4, 2001), immensely honoured to address the Tejas-25 National Seminar in Bengaluru today, alongside Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Dr V Narayanan, Chairman @isro and other distinguished luminaries. Shared my views and delivered the keynote on "Journey of LCA: From Sketch to Squadron," reflecting on decades of visionary leadership from pioneers like Dr Arunachalam, Dr Kalam, Dr Valluri, Prof Roddam Narasimha among many others leading to the founding of Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). Legendary aerospace leaders like Dr Kota Harinarayana ignited and nurtured the quest for excellence in Indian defence and aerospace sector. This initiative synergised the nation's diverse and dispersed talent pool into a unified force, transforming individual efforts into a cohesive & collaborative mission.
