My lawyers have formally written to Ben Habib.
They demanded an immediate apology and public retraction for the baseless allegations he made today.
I do not take legal action often. But I will not accept slander & politically motivated smears after winning a national election.
@PoshAndProud1@LindaR39@UKLabour@keirstarmer Confusing to no end. Even most dyed in the wool lifelong Labour supportors find him and his cabinet absolutely deplorable and many feel completely betrayed. The rest of us seen his character years ago
@LindaR39@UKLabour@keirstarmer ‘Hate lies and dishonesty’…
Yet supports the most dishonest, deceitful, disingenuous PM of my lifetime.
Which, ironically, makes Linda a liar too.
😂😂😂
Hello! I’ve just joined the Labour Party – fancy joining with me? Here’s the link: I have joined the @UkLabour party today in support of @KeirStarmer. I am disgusted with attempts to oust him and will do my bit to keep him as the best PM in decades. join.labour.org.uk/share/3xa9qjt
I read Labour MPs are forcing Keir Starmer to resign. Wes Streeting and Andy Burnham are favourites to be the next PM
But I predict Shabana Mahmood will be the UK's next prime minister. She’s one of the best candidates to lead Britain.
@uk_decoded@narindertweets@jdpoc Sounds good in theory, but who decides what's "trustworthy"?. I would love to see the acceptance of inconvenient facts, rather than mental gymnastics that tries to argue them away
The issue is that people qualify as a journalist when they are young and want to be unbiased, give as many truths and facts as possible but the outlets that employ them are politically aligned one way or another, chase clicks and views as this drives their funding pipeline and are self regulated by the IPSO, if not self regulated. There is a new regulator that has very high editorial standards, "Impress", they cover small publishers (we have an application been processed with them), they also cover content creators such as YouTube as well, they demand more trust worthy publishers.
@uk_decoded@narindertweets@jdpoc Agree fully. Would be great if actual facts were simply disseminated rather than spin from one ideological outpost or another. The truth usually sits within the third option, somewhere between the two given narratives
My argument is that ideally journalism and the media should be unbiased and factual at all times, giving a educational source for people to make an educated decision, instead of decisions based of little fact or evidence, and in some case none at all as things are now, that would be in an ideal world, but unfortunately we do not live in an ideal world.
@FiendishlyNerdy@Mr_Anderson_Esq@TheRealJamieKay I grew up in the Troubles, bigotry was an unrational visceral hatred towards the other community. Many here weren't bigots but had well founded concerns from attacks and bombs etc. Those who lived in the unaffected leafy suburbs called these people bigots though
@Air1084902@Mr_Anderson_Esq@TheRealJamieKay Nuance doesn’t mean “anything goes”. Fascism and bigotry have clear definitions in law and political science. Subjective experience doesn’t turn harmful behaviour into a valid viewpoint.
@uk_decoded@narindertweets@jdpoc The media has been feeding us pointed lies and spin since we were born. Is it only an issue if the misinformation goes against our own confirmation bias?
@narindertweets@jdpoc The Media has been giving Farage a platform for a long time now and putting out articles that are opinion based back with little to no factual information, this needs to stop as it only feeds the misinformation that the UK population is feeding from.
@sales_belinda@Christo44671940@CatherineWest1 If you think we have nothing to do with the middle east now you're deluded. We've sent billions to Ukraine, with rabble rousing about Russia. How are Labour any better? Or is it just dependant on the enemy?
@Christo44671940@CatherineWest1 Reform: wanted to join Trump's illegal war plunging the country in devastating circumstances with lives taken, billions spent, and terrorism on steroids.
Greens would have taken us out of NATO and reduced us to rubble.
You're on a planet called delusion and fake news.
Name her and shame her. @CatherineWest1 is calling for a vote of no confidence in Starmer and says she's got 10 people backing her. Sack her now. Call her out. A traitor. She's trying to destroy the party and the country.
Shame on her.
@sales_belinda@Meph44411499@CatherineWest1 My quality of life has suffered as has the quality of my employees as has the profitability of the business that always wants to pay top rates. It's nothing to do with media messaging, it's to do with living in reality
@Meph44411499@CatherineWest1 Electorate has been drip fed toxic messages by an extremely hostile media and Reform/Tory/far-left propaganda since Starmer has been in power. He's made mistakes but he's also done good. He saved us from a damaging war that would have been catastrophic for us which Farage wanted
@FiendishlyNerdy@Mr_Anderson_Esq@TheRealJamieKay Give us your definition of fascism and bigotry. Life is nuanced. You can't try and fit everything into a black or white box. One mans terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, but theyre both correct based on their own life experience
@Mr_Anderson_Esq@TheRealJamieKay There is a way around that though. If you don’t want to be labelled fascists and bigots, don’t say fascist and bigoted things.
@N84773Novak@TheRealJamieKay If the left agreed that some "right wing" concerns are genuine, they'd understand that it's not racism either. They must bend and twist language to tar normal commonly held beliefs that you, your brother and granny hold as something radical
@TheRealJamieKay Most people, including you, don’t even know what facisim is.
It’s just an abuse of language by the left because the can’t win on merit and debate.
Thats the real concern here. And you are just as much the problem.
@Frankie10299198@Heccles94@TheGreenParty How can a gay childless Polish jew with radical policies relate to average normies trying their best to get through life, pay the bills, raise the kids and save what's left. It'll look like Oregon
@BLAIMGame@Heccles94 224 votes is just his NHS work colleagues hoping to get rid of him. Can't eat their lunch without hearing about his skewed grievances
It’s important that we reflect and respond to these results - we haven’t done enough to offer people hope for the future.
In the coming days I’ll be setting out the path ahead.
@JohnHealey_MP Starts with security? So another boot on citizens necks while you glorify and pander to actual threats? This is exactly why your party is universally despised
Not the results we wanted. And not the results that good Labour councillors and candidates deserved.
But we should not turn inward.
We can work our way back, if we’re bold and give people hope for the future.
That starts with security.
