In 1853 George Crum invented the “Potato Chip” after an angry customer sent fries back to the kitchen, claiming they weren’t good. Crum cut the potatoes as thinly as possible, fried them until they were burnt crisps, & threw a handful of salt on top. The chip was born. 🐐

Happy Heavenly Birthday to Rosa Parks — she would have turned 113 today.🎈 She was an American civil rights activist known for her courageous refusal in 1955 to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus, defying Jim Crow segregation laws and helping ignite the Civil Rights Movement.🙏🏾🕊️

Today's Black American (Freedmen) inventor or innovator is Evelyn Boyd Granville. Evelyn Boyd Granville developed programs for the world's first mass-produced computer, the IBM 650. She created computer programs that tracked the orbits of America's first space trips, including Project Mercury, which were our first flights that sent humans to outer space. She would then work on the trajectories for the Apollo Project that helped America be the first and only country to put humans on the moon. ##BlackHistoryMonth
