The super-exciting things we made you do simply because we had become a bit old by then, and our fun life as reporters had yielded to dour editorial rut! Didn’t realise 20 years had gone past already…you still lead the same fun life! Best wishes as ever…

Can’t believe it’s been 20 years! In early 2006, my then editor @ShekharGupta asked me to find a way to report on the IAF’s super-secretive MiG-25 Foxbat spyplane unit. Weeks later, I got a journalist’s 1st ever access to the squadron. The full story: youtu.be/dH9JiRtuW18?si…

The proposed 25–35 metre eco-sensitive buffer around #KBR National Park is inadequate, environmentalists argued after the #SupremeCourt stayed tree felling around the park and halted activity within the eco-sensitive zone. Activists say #Hyderabad’s key urban forest needs a much wider protective radius amid ongoing infrastructure works. The matter has been adjourned to July 27. #Hyderabad #KBRPark #SupremeCourt #Environment @XpressHyderabad @NewIndianXpress @Kalyan_TNIE newindianexpress.com/states/telanga…

In today's @timesofindia, I argue: Beijing's new phrase for US-China ties – "constructive strategic stability" – captures the reality of a deeply competitive relationship. In simple terms, it means accepting long-term competition but keeping it under control. For Beijing, this appears to be the formal framework for ties over the next several years. It accepts that rivalry between two major powers is unavoidable, while also signalling that diplomacy alone will not restore harmony. For more thoughts on Trump's approach to alliances, lessons for India, and the deals of the travelling salesmen, check out the full piece here: timesofindia.indiatimes.com/blogs/toi-edit…. An Assamese child singing “Vachindamma” from Geetha Govindam with such joy is the real spirit of #India. Different languages. Different cultures. One heartbeat. Moments like these remind us that #music and culture unite our country far more deeply than politics ever can.
