The finger pointing among the Virginia Democrats isn’t surprising. They knowingly violated the VA Constitution and the crash outs are coming and they’ll be glorious.

for the record, I'm not predicting what the VA Court will do, nor am I "cheerleading" for an outcome. I'm simply reporting from very, very credible sources, the mood in my party and the finger pointing that broke out over the weekend

@lady_valor_07 No. $40 is nowhere near an appropriate tip for a $500 tab in the United States in an establishment where tipping is the custom. If you can’t afford 15-20%, you can’t afford to eat there. Maybe pick up a shift at that restaurant to make some cash so you can afford to eat there

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic. ~Lea Robertson

@rickjones98 @Aku_700 Sometimes a good head stomping is an opponents way of saying, “Nice play, buddy!” None of you would have lasted 10 seconds with the 1980s Detroit Pistons.

Black Savage Stomps Filipino Kid’s Head in Brutal Attack! This savage stomp happened during a youth basketball game in California — clear as day on video. The 13-year-old Black player crushed the Filipino boy’s head after a loose ball fight, sending him to the hospital with a concussion. No excuses.

As a genocide scholar, help me out. Can you point to a single other "genocide" in history where: a) The target population grew larger every year, b) The target population refused to surrender, c) The genocidal party provided mass humanitarian aid d) The genocidal party warned the population to move e) The target population of this genocide immediately held victory parades? f) The genocidal party had the ability to wipe out the entire target party from the air without a single military casualty but chose not to do so? g) The genocide abruptly stopped with a ceasefire agreement. h) Hundreds of medical students from the target population trained and graduated during the genocide. Any one example will do. Just one. I'll wait.

Israel is committing genocide, the vast majority of genocide scholars (of whom I am one) and human rights organisations agree. @ZackPolanski is only stating a well-established truth. The campaign against him is a campaign of genocide denial.
Saul Staniforth@SaulStaniforth

Melanie Phillips accuses @ZackPolanski of inciting hatred because he says Israel is committing genocide. Israel is committing genocide, & when it comes to who actually incites hatred, lets remember that mass murderer Anders Breivik quoted Phillips multiple times in his manifesto

It's like the crack and weed is finally wearing off and Dems are realizing that there's no way SCOVA is going to make itself a historic embarrassment by rubber stamping this many severe and highly material violations of law in the conduct of the referendum.

@AdmTrell @FixingEducation That’s easy enough to remember and fair. I taught English, so my hw and classwork was of different nature to warrant being weighted less. Should have not assumed… Reading assignments were quizzed, papers were test grades, and so forth, so not a ton of “homework” per se.

@AdmTrell @FixingEducation Any teacher who weighs homework more than 15% of total grade should have their discretion to do so removed. Homework should build competency. Competency is measured by testing for competency or mastery, not completion.

@I_Heart_Growth @FixingEducation I don’t know whether they are or not. Competency, though, can be measured through valid assessments. If a kid’s test scores show competency or mastery, flunking a kid for lack of classwork or homework makes little sense. 15% allocation for classwork or homework is fair.

@sarcasmic92 @jackrwilkie @jpclemens I wouldn’t mind seeing them for nostalgia’s sake. The new singer’s been in almost as long as Steve Perry, but, of course, he’s there because he sounds like Steve Perry…. I had forgotten that it wasn’t Perry’s voice that went, but his hip.

I’m not trying to hurt any Gen X feelings with this, but we as a society have GOT to chill with the Journey music. They were on 3 stations at the same time today. It’s been 40 years. Move on already.

@caringguy1957 @RepHageman @POTUS It was contrived. All of it. The right wingers were dispersed and made to walk between ranks of counter-protesters and were attacked. Leftist loony friends of mine who were there even thought it was extremely irresponsible. “Make your enemy’s reaction your action.”

Hey George Santos, That is garbage conspiracy bait. Charlottesville was not an “SPLC operation.” It was the Unite the Right rally, organized by white supremacist Jason Kessler to protest removal of the Robert E. Lee statue. The defendants in the later civil case included prominent white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and hate groups accused of planning and executing the violence. The man who murdered Heather Heyer was James Alex Fields Jr., a white supremacist who drove into counterprotesters. He pleaded guilty to 29 federal hate-crime charges and was sentenced to life in prison. That was the DOJ’s case, not a talking point. So the claim requires you to believe white supremacists organized it, white supremacists promoted it, white supremacists attended it, a white supremacist committed the murder, federal prosecutors convicted him for hate crimes, but somehow the SPLC secretly caused the whole thing. That is not an argument. That is fan fiction for people who cannot admit what their own side produced. The SPLC did not “fund and organize” Charlottesville. The evidence points to far-right organizers and groups, not the SPLC. Saying otherwise is just an attempt to launder an obvious white nationalist rally into a fake victim narrative. And no one blamed the convicted felon for Charlottesville, he just made stupid comments about it claiming there were good people on both sides. Spoiler alert: white supremacists are not good people.

@TaraBull I assume that’s 4 kids, based on income with lowest payout ($275) being first kid. If true. When he got the $310 (2nd kid) to total $585/mth he should have cut his balls. If you as a man can make simple rational decisions like that. IDK what to tell you bro.

Young people who grew up in Virginia want to stay — but cannot find an apartment they can afford. Families who have saved for years still cannot compete in the housing market. Seniors on fixed incomes are watching their rent climb higher every year.

We have a housing shortage in Virginia. And until we address it, prices will keep rising.
