Ruben threatened me last year when I brought up some situations from his past.
I’m not interested in his personal life however the point is he shouldn’t represent AZ. For us to go from Jon Kyl to this clown is embarrassing for Arizona.
He will only embarrass us more.

@anna71879298 @Mrmosman66 @whatsuptucson If it was all day every day, I could see his complaint, but this morning was a very rare occurrence.
English

@whatsuptucson WTF flew over midtown around 2-3 am??? It sounded like what I can only imagine the Death Star sounded like…. Davis Monthan doing some serious invidious experiments again…
English

@Mrmosman66 @whatsuptucson F16s returning to Davis Monthan. Just a very late (or early return). Nothing invidious about it.

The rumor I shared last night is confirmed. No more parallel visual approaches into SFO when visibility is good.
Buckle up, folks. This is going to be a real mess.
David Shepardson@davidshepardson
News: maximum arrival rate at SFO is falling from 54 operations to 36 per hour due to runway construction and new @FAANews safety requirement. Story @Reuters

@teameffujoe @jimmy_dore IF this happened, you can link this directly to Mark Kelly and the other 5 dumbasses comments.

@MarchMadnessMBB Hurry and hire Bobby so he can put "final four" on his resume next season.

@d76802 @petemuntean @yashar That guy did absolutely nothing to help out the transportation department

It's time for Brayden Burries to stop being overlooked in the loaded freshman class zonazealots.com/it-s-time-for-…

@KiwaSpotter Not sure how I feel about that color on the Eagle though.
English

@BuzzPatterson People will say fix it, fix it, fix it! And I will be a hot item for a couple weeks, then it will all go away, until another accident happens. It's a vicious cycle.
English

@MAGAMichelleS69 @SenSchumer @jyparkway @grok Kind of a weird flex to praise Trump, and then try to bash him, only to prove we are still better under Trump lol
English

Yep! They felt the pinch and forced staffing at places they shouldn't have. It really has become a numbers game. Quantity not quality.
I'm at a busy level 8, and we have 8 new people. 4 have never spoke to an airplane, 2 have schooling and 2 are prior military. They all should have started at a slow VFR tower
English

@AlanCline09 @MCCCANM When I was in we were lucky to get 1 day OT per year. You also started in lower level facilities and worked your way up to busier facilities. But they took PCS money away and made the new kids go straight to busy places. All mismanagement.
English

Worth noting that the ATC staffing shortage has been more than a decade in the making.
I first became aware in 2023, when I ran a simple experiment & found the majority were working 6 days a week, mandatory overtime, sometimes for years.
We desperately need to fix it.
KC-10 Driver ✈️ 👨✈️ B-737 Wrangler@MCCCANM
The question was simple: “Is it true you are working 6 days a week & can’t get spot leave?” The rules were that I wouldn’t ask if radios were busy, wouldn’t ask Tower (critical phase of flight) or below 10k’ (Sterile Cockpit rule). Here’s my tally: 2/5
English

@welshwitch78 @david_nolewajka @BuzzPatterson I say 2010, I started with the FAA in 2007, and staffing was decent at that time. We went from have 20-22 CPC, then retirements started hitting hard. And now we went at 11-14 in a 24 hour facility
English

I’d say longer than that. The bow wave post-1981 started a bit earlier.
Add to that finding qualified applicants, Academy wash out rates, and developmental to journeymen training time - in addition to Airline desire for more slots and static concrete, this isn’t going to resolve overnight if they hired 10k of controllers today.
English

It’s time, finally, for our government to address the manning of FAA controllers nationwide. This is an accident that’s been waiting to happen for years. Years! Our government can’t kick the can any longer. There’s no way that one guy should ever be responsible for both the ground and tower functions. This controller did the best he could. He was overwhelmed.
Hire qualified applicants and dump DEI. ASAP!

Here’s CCTV footage capturing the exact moment Air Canada Express Flight AC8646, a Bombardier CRJ-900, collided with a Port Authority fire truck at LaGuardia Airport last night.
English

@david_nolewajka @welshwitch78 @BuzzPatterson Yes we are short staffed. It just doesn't seem like it because it has been this was sense 2010
English

@welshwitch78 @BuzzPatterson Thank you. Makes sense. But also isn’t true that they are short staffed.
English

@AVintageAviator @CorvusCrypto @MCCCANM I have no idea if he is AI or not, but he isn't wrong. Secretary Duffy is not responsible for where my career field is at, but he definitely is in a position to fix it. I have ideas!
English

@CorvusCrypto @MCCCANM Thanks for the wonderful ai post Mr. Crypto guy in Sweden pretending to be a US controller...
English

@SamuelRen14 @MCCCANM I can't speak for LGA, but facilities I have been too, Supervisors are only there till 10pm max. Mid shifts (normally 10pm-6am) only have controllers on duty, minimum 2 CPC.
English

@MCCCANM Wouldn’t there also be a supervisor at LGA besides the one controller?
English

@Ranchlady_9 I'm in the aviation industry, family is a long line of pilots also! Naturally I know 1,000s of pilots. Chemtrails are not real.
Take off the tin foil hats!
Thank you for listening.
Block away!
