Melissa Hortman was killed by a Trump supporter. The first person to allegedly take a shot at Trump was a registered Republican. Every study shows more political violence from the right than the left. But sure, other than that, great tweet, totally factual and not cynical BS.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Leftists have tried to kill the president three times now. They killed Charlie. They've shot up churches and Christian schools and rioted in the streets. They are the party of terrorism. Political violence comes from one side. How much longer will we allow these people to wage war on the country?

@MCCCANM It’s a Japanese thing. I remember many many years ago, I had an airliner photo book as a kid… One of the photos in there was of an ANA 767 flight deck turning final at Kai Tak. Pilots were wearing pretty much these exact same gloves.

All the lights come on as we pass through 18,000’, except one…the taxi light. That doesn’t come on until the Tower issues landing clearance, and it’s a trained habit. If it’s not on, you aren’t cleared to land. Also, we have to figure out what is going on with gloves.

There was no goal-post shifting on my part. @SciGuySpace had already alluded to the issue in prior reporting, so I was fairly certain there was truth to what you had said. You're welcome to review my writings to confirm that. Respectfully, Administrator Isaacman, your answer was, at best, incomplete. You failed to add that work that has been done to identify the cause and what could be done moving forward. You were also loose in your interpretation of "delivered," and you implied that this, and this alone, would have been the reason Gateway would be delayed when, by all accounts, it was only one of many elements falling behind schedule. You talk about wanting to work with international partners on a Moon base, an endeavour that will require massive financial contributions from them. Yet, when the situation called for some courtesy for those partners, you gave ESA and Thales Alenia Space no warning that you were about to bring the world’s media down on their heads. I genuinely don't understand how that's part of building partnerships. You may very well be championing the Trump administration's policy, as is your mandate. But from my perspective, again and again, you have done so at your partners' expense. And to be honest, I expected more from you.

Thales Alenia Space has told me that they'll share a statement early next week. I personally think this delay is a catastrophic PR failure, but I am still interested in what they have to say. I also think that while NASA Administrator Isaacman was clearly right on the facts, it was the wrong form and forum for that information, and his choice not to share the corrective measures being implemented is baffling.

The military already charters flights for this purpose. Carriers like Atlas & Omni do a lot of military work. It’s not like Spirit could then do that for free…the military would still pay. These jets are useless for cargo, too. In a crisis, the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) can be stood up; airlines turn over jets & crews for military use. This doesn’t make any sense & it’s not how govt travel is run. They buy a certain amount of seats everyday from a variety of carriers, sometimes not using them. The legal implication of the government favoring one airline over the others is huge & will never stand up to scrutiny. I don’t see this happening.
OSINTdefender@sentdefender

The Pentagon would use Spirit’s excess capacity for transporting troops, military cargo or other missions, sources tell CBS News.

The Administration has failed here. Ukraine is fighting for survival, independence and freedom. Russia wants domination. Going to Russia and refusing to go to Ukraine shows favoritism and ruins their credibility. America wants better.

Witkoff has been to Moscow 8 times, Kushner has also been. Neither have ever been to Kyiv. A cynic might think the Trump administration is on Russia's side - I'm that cynic.

This is ridiculous. Putting aside the full blown socialism, putting aside the high price of oil - pumping more money into a failed airline business model isn’t going to save the airline, it’s just setting fire to half a BIL of our tax dollars. Let them merge or let it die. Sheesh.
Brian Schwartz@schwartzbWSJ

SCOOP: The Trump administration and Spirit Airlines are nearing a deal where the U.S. government would put up to $500 million into Spirit Airlines stock warrants to try to save the company, leading to a potential significant stake in the company. The DOJ just indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that has spent more than half a century fighting the Klan, tracking hate, and defending civil rights. Let's be clear about what's happening. This administration is using the full weight of federal prosecution to target an organization whose mission is rooting out violent extremism. This is part and parcel of Trump's assault on free speech, on nonprofits, and on anyone who dares to disagree with him. First it was lawfare against political opponents. Then it was revoking the tax status of universities. Now it's a federal indictment against one of the most historic civil rights organizations in America. The SPLC has saved lives. It will not be silenced — and neither will we.

Tomorrow’s Virginia election is not looking good for Republicans. The state will be ruined for generations. But it should serve as another example to weak Republicans that playing nice with Democrats now won’t buy you any favors when they win later. They will use their power to keep winning and destroy you and any “norms” you thought there were. We need to govern accordingly, especially at the federal level, and get things like the SAVE America Act passed. To hell with the filibuster. Nuke it and get it done.
Christian Heiens 🏛@ChristianHeiens

Final early vote electorate for the Virginia gerrymandering referendum: 🔴GOP: 36.01% 🔵Dems: 63.89% For comparison, I went back and looked at the final figures for the 2025 gubernatorial election (and the model has a better idea of what that looks like in retrospect), and it produced an outcome of: 🔴GOP: 33.58% 🔵Dems: 66.41% So that's a 5-point shift to the Right compared to last year's early vote margin. And when you consider that there will inevitably be some Dems who vote "NO", plus the likelihood that those swing voters (who broke quite literally about 80-20 for Spanberger last year) are much more evenly split this time around, I can see this referendum passing by about 5-7 points compared to Spanberger's 15-point victory in November. That's my expectation. If we see some sort of Presidential-level turnout in Red counties tomorrow, that's how "NO" wins, but barring that, this referendum probably has about an 80% chance of passing. It really all just depends on rural turnout tomorrow. If you have not yet voted, the only way this thing fails is if you and your friends and family show up and vote "NO".

Governor Abigail Spanberger
Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they pushed back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress. As we watched other states go along with those demands without voter input, Virginians refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.
