It prioritizes token efficiency. A model is not a "coder"; it is a code interpreter that reverse-engineers and writes code. Law 0: "Context IS the reality" Law 1: "Persistence Catalyzes Context" Law 2: "Intent derives from structure, not syntax" Law 3: "Process Health over Task Health" Law 4: "Misalignment is task failure, not model failure" The "edit file" task is tough for models and infuriating because it seems simple to us. Switching from predicting code tokens = f(last_tokens, weights) to English tokens = f(last_tokens, weights) and back breaks the latent chain-of-thought for that node. Comments (which lose a lot of information, as you know) seem like they should be part of the logic, but as proven, they are not. @grok help me out here, first am I wrong? But chime in on the issue.

@ShimazuSystems @SkrptRitty I saw this 🤡repo and thought about you. There is some legit mesh stuff being played with here and there. Comms post shtf will have to go to packet rf for data, and we may still have sats to use.

My issue is that I actually have a viable thing that does what this is trying to do, I won't accuse the actual creator of using AI necessarily (although the documentation clearly isn't even checked over) since I can see the commits go back 8 months - that's not a timescale for a vibecoder. But it is, in essence, just a Linux distro. I saw someone say 'oh this would be good to put in a pipboy like device' and I swear I had a nervous twitch in my eye. The sort of thing I'm doing has got a lot of reach, but it always seems to fall short of this sort of mainstream exposure. Difficult to not sound envious, in all honesty, I wish I didn't.

A reporter asks Tucker Carlson if Israel has a “right to exist.” Tucker flips the question right back and asks her to define what “right to exist” means. And then this happened.

You moved up to inferencing that was able to overcome the disaster of brute force orchestration a little better. That's not a win, it's a band-aid. All the inferencing you needed was there already. Brittle orchestration is just that, brittle. You can't own the context window, which you should be treating as a compute surface, and push overhead trash into it at the same time. You drown your models and call it "misalignment" or whatever, it's really recursion you don't understand. /rant

karpathy on Dwarkesh in Oct. Haider.@slow_developer

Andrej Karpathy says when AI agents fail, it's usually a skill issue, not a capability issue You didn't write good enough instructions, didn't set up the right memory tool, or didn't parallelize correctly "the real shift is working in macro actions" One does research, one writes code, one plans, all running 20-minute tasks simultaneously

Since creating my Code Factory that I walkthrough in the below article, I'm closer than ever to getting full utilization of my ChatGPT Pro subscription. Can't tell if it's Symphony gobbling up tokens, or I'm getting that much done. In reality, it's both.
