Metacritic user score for The Odyssey just dropped to 5.3/10 495 ratings in and it’s getting worse, not better. The more actual audiences see it, the lower the score goes. That gap between critics and real users is embarrassing. Rotten Tomatoes can keep faking their audience numbers all they want. Metacritic users are telling the truth. Absolute disgrace. Stop ruining our stories.

Kimi K3 vs GPT-5.6 Sol vs Fable 5 Three top-tier models. Same /design prompt across all. Parameters reviewed: Pace, design sense, gameplay feel Result: Kimi K3 nails the design sense and knows exactly what to add in-game. Pace and gameplay held up well. Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol both play too fast, video isn't sped up. Ranking (DX, Features & Cost): → Kimi K3: 9.5/10 · $0.030 → Fable 5: 7.5/10 · $0.38 → GPT-5.6 Sol: 7/10 · $0.11

@adxtyahq How is it the same price GPT and just half the price of Opus. Shouldn't they be much more expensive?

WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT THAT BY MID-2026, AN OPEN CHINESE MODEL WOULD BE COMPETING HEAD-TO-HEAD WITH US FRONTIER LABS BACKED BY BILLIONS IN FUNDING???? Kimi K3 just beat Opus 4.8 on retro game generation while costing almost 2x less Kimi K3: 18.4K tokens - $0.28 GPT-5.6: 18.1K tokens - $0.28 Opus 4.8: 21.3K tokens - $0.54 They tested all three models on the same prompts: • Road Fighter • Battle City • Q*bert The crazy part is that it got the gameplay, physics, mechanics, and AI behavior ALL WORKING TOGETHER And this is quickly becoming the new normal.
atomic.chat@atomic_chat_hq

New Kimi K3 beat Opus 4.8 at making retro games for 2x cheaper! We gave three models the same task: make three old arcade games that play by themselves. Each game is one HTML file with a bot that plays it Prompts: – Road Fighter – Battle City – Q*bert Outputs: Kimi K3: 18.4K tokens, $0.28 GPT-5.6: 18.1K tokens, $0.28 Opus 4.8: 21.3K tokens, $0.54 Kimi K3 made the best games. Its Q*bert is the best of all three. The player jumps on the cubes, paints them and runs from the purple snake. Its Battle City looks just like the real game and plays right. The tanks move, aim, shoot and break the walls. GPT-5.6 could not handle the cars. Its Battle City broke too. The tank died on its own and the base got hit. But GPT had the nicest textures of the three

Milk grows bones. Everyone knows that. Nobody knows WHY. It’s not just the calcium. The protein doing the heavy lifting is LACTOFERRIN. It stimulates bone-building cells more powerfully than IGF-1 and TGF-beta — the two growth factors every biohacker obsesses over. They injected it into mice skulls. Bone formation increased 4x in 5 days. Thread on what else this protein does — the bone part isn’t even the most interesting thing 🧵

Every cup/8oz of milk consumed in childhood increased height by .39cm on average.

I disagree with the rest. I think its doable. The problem is. You have a salary of 2750. Which isn't a bad salary, now think how many people had this kind of salary 40 years ago. Inflation will take a huge chunk away from this so your 8k might have the purchasing power of 2k today

I’m 28. This means I’m 40 years away from retirement. I plan to invest 20% of my salary every month until I ‘retire’. As I write this, 20% of my salary is £550. I aim to target a 8% annual return. Is I did this for 40 years, my portfolio would be worth 2.4 million. Withdrawing 4% annually, I’ll have £96,000 annually or £8000 a month. the median pot for a private pension for men is £156,500 compared to £51,100 for women. Why wouldn’t you invest?

Data on 35,000+ adults: the more cannabis you’ve used in life, the bigger your hippocampus and the better your brain works after 40! People who had ever used cannabis tended to have larger brain volume in key areas that are full of natural cannabis-like receptors (especially the hippocampus, amygdala, caudate, and putamen – these areas are important for memory, emotions, learning, and movement). The more cannabis someone had used in their lifetime, the larger these brain areas were and the better they performed on tests of learning, processing speed, and short-term memory. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41379083/

British Unapologetically 🇬🇧
I popped round to a friend's house yesterday afternoon. We'd planned to watch the football, but his mum ended up joining us in the kitchen while the kettle was on. She's 78. I'd never really spoken politics with her before, so I asked what she made of everything going on. She smiled and said, "I've voted Labour my entire life." I honestly wasn't expecting what came next. "Except this time." I asked what had changed. She told me she'd simply had enough. She said she'd spent years watching different governments promise change, only for the same problems to keep coming back. Then she brought up Rupert Lowe. I asked her what she saw in him. She laughed. "I don't know if he'll ever be Prime Minister," she said. "But every time I hear him speak, I don't come away thinking, 'What on earth was he trying to say?'" "That's more than I can say for most of them these days." We ended up talking for another half an hour. Immigration, the cost of living, Westminster, the state of the country. It wasn't the conversation I expected to have over a cup of tea. As I was leaving, it struck me that Rupert Lowe's support isn't just coming from people who've always voted on the right. It's also coming from people who spent decades backing Labour and now feel like they don't have a political home anymore
