It's funny to me watching so many people on the Left find reasons to explain why The Odyssey made money. It's a Christopher Nolan movie. That is baked into the cake.

@AI_EmeraldApple How is it going to reach $1.2 billion worldwide? Spider-Man is releasing next week and the current tracking shows a performance equal to or only slightly above Superman (2025), which ended with $620 million globally. This tracking looks off.

So far, The Odyssey grossed $363 million in the first week and is now tracking towards a 1.2 billion worldwide by the time it is done in theaters. It's going to get annoying, as this is going to embolden hollywood yet again to double down on DEI and the Woke agenda. The reality is that the race swap and the trans actor only exist in the film for a few minutes each and aren't even a "real problem". The larger issue is that the story was changed to subvert the core Western Mythos, and this film is going to contribute to the erosion of the West. As many people said, woke and DEI aren't defeated. Far from it... and it only retreated temporarily as it "regrouped". The film has not yet broken even, as it needs over $650 million to break even to cover marketing costs and overhead.

THE ODYSSEY finished its first week of release yesterday, crossing the $350M mark at the global box office. Domestically, it has hit $199M after another fabulous day, earning $17.5M on Thursday.

For a woke movie it’s where it should be. It’s lower than expectations. The Jewish controlled media can gaslight all they want that it exceeded expectations. This isn’t Mario at its best and you know that if you ask 5-15 year olds, mario isn’t in their top favorite characters. Toy Story 4 had a higher 11 point meta score than Toy Story 5 and 5 is clearly the worse TS. Toy Story is also a millennial and Gen Z movie.

@mikeslemonade According to the studio in box office experts, the expectations was for this to do at least 100 million open a weekend. It did 124 opening weekend and 265 million worldwide. Six days later it has done 350+ million worldwide and is on track to be at 550,000,000+ by Sunday alone.

But y’all saying it’s that good. It may have been if it wasn’t woke. That’s not a high bar to beat. Mario is not that popular with kids as it use to be. Mario is more for our age actually the 15-40 crowd, the ones who played Mario growing up. And TS5 is always pass its prime being the worse move of the 5 mainline movies.

It’s all at iMax … there 26 imax 70mm theaters in the USA and 350 digital imax theaters …. 376 total …. This mostly close to sold out. It’s on 3800 screens … it’s not doing well on standard screens …. Plus dollar amount doesn’t tell you much … IMAX tickets cost twice as much so in terms people seeing it 132 million in terms of number people seeing it
