Clinically Vulnerable Families 💙💜💗
Clinically Vulnerable people rely on essential treatments, devices and medical care and therefore face increased risks in civil emergencies - yet they are invisible in law. CVF💙💜💗 is calling for that to change with a new protected group under the Equality Act.

Markets may be “overly optimistic” about the impact of the Iran conflict, says @Lagarde. She tells @zannymb that a return to normality could take years. Watch the full interview on The Insider at 6pm London time: econ.st/3NrrAIr

"The Spanish #AssistedDying law was approved in the middle of the pandemic & without social debate whatsoever. It was rushed through& approved via emergency procedure. The UK have been debating it for months, even voting on it."- And the longer spent going over details, the less appealing it becomes

Since Wes Streeting & his payments from private healthcare has FINALLY caused some wider scale outrage, I’m dropping the thread about the slow push to privatisation most of the public has been missing. They’re years ahead of public awareness with their plans. We need to catch up!
Katie@LuxMeaMundiAM

People really aren’t seeing Wes Streeting pushing people slowly to private healthcare. 🧵 Reducing availability & forcing people to wait for months in agony, people will desperately try to find enough money to go private. If not, they simply suffer. Vaccines are also slowly 1/

@nmdacosta @JeffGazzard UK Drs like me would have quit the UK if obliged to euthanise our patients. Deliberately killing a patient is contrary to my ethical principles and medical training and I would have been forced to quit the profession or more likely the country as many countries still value life.

Various bits and bobs happening to keep supply chains of fuel and other things not too gappy HOWEVER there is absolute certainty of further increased cost of living now. It’s a very good time to talk about community assets and lunch clubs….

Hate this gaslighting. Of course the phone matters. People need to be able to trust you about the two wars as well as the phone and right now nobody trusts you on anything….

"I'm not going to discuss the details of someone's phone when I've got two wars on... This is gutter politics, not interested" @bbcpaddy questions Defence Minister Al Carns over the theft of a phone belonging to Keir Starmer's former chief of staff Morgan McSweeney. #Newsnight

Look at the @UKHSA page. Cases rising, cases rising, cases rising. So many diseases are seeing rising numbers. There are multiple studies showing how Covid damages the immune system, even after mild infections. So why isn’t anyone taking this seriously? The evidence is there!

This is president of @Google - a company accused of illegally harvesting copyrighted work - saying journalists need to learn to use AI or ‘risk missing out’. He’s just been appointed to the board of @guardian. I hope every journalist in the org watches this & asks: why?

As someone who works in the NHS, I can sit here and confidently tell you that you are lying……..again The NHS is getting worse & worse under the tenure of a Health Secretary who has neither the interest or ability to manage his health brief

One other vital thing about the background for the massive increase in secondary bacterial infections is that covid infection can cause a huge hit to CD4 and CD8 cells *in circulation* in the bloodstream. We're watching live the effects of the damage to that line of defence.

76% of inpatient Covid cases were caught in hospital. SEVENTY SIX PERCENT! How is the media not all over this? It’s a national scandal! Nobody should be catching ANY preventable disease while seeking medical treatment. We urgently need airborne infection control in the NHS.
