Indeed. Let’s not forget this bill rewrites the actual constitution for the NHS or that wavering MPs were promised the Lords would just magically fix this amateur hour dangerous bill.

🚨Assisted Dying Bill🚨 Every bill this session that has received Royal Assent and went through Commons Public Bill Committee took longer in the Lords. So it was never realistic to expect the Lords to complete THREE stages in the time the Commons had for Committee alone. And that's before you factor in that it is the longest most complex Private Member's Bill in the history of PMBs, was written in two weeks, with no consultation, or prior policy development, is skeletal and gives "sweeping, unspecified and unjustified powers" to any future government.

@nmdacosta @JeffGazzard UK Drs like me would have quit the UK if obliged to euthanise our patients. Deliberately killing a patient is contrary to my ethical principles and medical training and I would have been forced to quit the profession or more likely the country as many countries still value life.

Look at the @UKHSA page. Cases rising, cases rising, cases rising. So many diseases are seeing rising numbers. There are multiple studies showing how Covid damages the immune system, even after mild infections. So why isn’t anyone taking this seriously? The evidence is there!

76% of inpatient Covid cases were caught in hospital. SEVENTY SIX PERCENT! How is the media not all over this? It’s a national scandal! Nobody should be catching ANY preventable disease while seeking medical treatment. We urgently need airborne infection control in the NHS.
