Rivian and Lucid get special treatment while Tesla is capped at $50k. There is no MSRP cap for the $3,500 EV rebate for Rivian and Lucid because they’re incorporated in California, but Tesla is capped at $50k because it’s incorporated in Texas. Even though Tesla produces over 100,000 vehicles at its Fremont factory and those two companies produce none. Clear bias here.

Gosh, I wonder what kind of car this is? Well, one thing for sure, we know it’s not a Tesla. If it was a Tesla, then that would be the lead headline across the nation. If it’s not a Tesla, it simply doesn’t matter who made the car because it’s not the car’s fault.
