I hate how people act like housing is this complex financial investment instrument. It is bloody bricks and mortar and is pretty much run by two factors: 1. How readily available credit is to borrowers. 2. Supply vs Demand Every single person needs a place to rent or buy for them and their family to exist. This isn’t rocket science. Mass migration has massively outpaced supply of housing (despite Australia having one of the fastest build rates in the world), and the reporters and “economists” will speculate and theorise over nearly everything, except mass migration from the third world.
