🇵🇸🇮🇱Israeli occupation forces push disabled Palestinian off his wheelchair and slam him into the ground, then proceed to attack the crowd attempting to come to his aid. This is the daily reality for millions of Palestinians who endure abuse at the hands of Israeli.

1/ We asked 28 frontier LLMs — GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, GLM, MiniMax — for the same 26 economic parameters, 15 times each. 10,920 elicitations, every prompt and response in a public repo. The headline: where economics has settled, the models have settled — and where it's still arguing, the models still argue. That unresolved part moves the US optimal-tax answer by about nine points. policyengine.org/ai-beliefs

Farouk Ramadan woke up yesterday to what Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have learned to expect: another attack by Israeli settlers. When armed settlers confronted him and his brother near Nablus, Farouk defended himself after disarming one of the settlers who had pointed a rifle at them. He knew exactly what Palestinians know all too well. Defending yourself against settlers means Israel will make your family and your community pay the price. By the end of the day, Farouk Ramadan, his brother Ibrahim, and their relatives Jawad and Imran Ramadan had been killed. Israeli officials immediately announced plans to demolish the Ramadan family home. Afterward, settlers fanned out across villages surrounding Nablus. Homes and vehicles were set on fire. Residents came under live fire. Property was vandalized. Livestock were attacked. Families barricaded themselves inside their homes while armed settlers moved through their villages. Israeli officials responded by announcing a major military operation in the area, expanding settlement measures, and calling for more demolitions. For those of us in New York City, none of this is disconnected from us. The organizations that finance Israeli settlements are incorporated here. They raise money here. They host fundraising dinners here. They receive tax deductible donations here. We are not only sending billions of dollars in military aid to Israel. We also allow organizations that bankroll the settlement movement to operate openly in our own city. Earlier this year, Kars4Kids went viral after a California judge ruled that its advertising misled donors by failing to disclose that the charity primarily funds Orthodox Jewish educational and religious programs. People were shocked because they believed they had been donating to a general children’s charity, not to a much more specific mission. So why is there nowhere near that level of outrage over tax exempt organizations in New York City openly raising money for settlements whose settlers carry out attacks like the ones we witnessed today? Instead, we are encouraged to reduce everything to Benjamin Netanyahu, as though replacing one prime minister would dismantle the machinery responsible for the mass killing, ethnic cleansing, colonization, and genocide of the Palestinian people. The problem has never been one politician. It is the military occupation. It is the settlement enterprise. It is the politicians who fund it. It is the lobby that protects it. It is the organizations that finance it. It is the governments that arm it. It is the entire Zionist apparatus that has made these crimes possible. Meanwhile, we are told to celebrate politicians for offering carefully worded criticism of Netanyahu while continuing to fund and protect the very system that produced him. We are thanking politicians for crumbs while they continue financing the machinery that is killing our people. Farouk Ramadan’s name should force us to ask why the organizations financing the settlements that terrorize Palestinians are allowed to operate openly from New York City with tax benefits and little to no pushback while Palestinians defending their communities are condemned and killed.

💢 A breakdown of how the incident in Tel, Nablus unfolded: The Palestinian man, Farouk Ramadan, initially appears to be trying to protect another Palestinian (likely his brother) when an armed settler hits him in the head with a rifle. (Image 2) As he moves away, he is kicked or struck from behind. Still, he retreats again. (3) Israeli settlers or the surrounding soldiers (under whose protection the incursion appears to be taking place), then fire live shots. The sounds of gunshots can be heard clearly in the video. (3) An armed Israeli settler then charges directly at Ramadan and a fellow Palestinian with a gun raised and pointed at their chest, closing distance between them, as gunshots are heard in the background. Ramadan disarms him, takes the rifle, and aims at the settler, and purportedly shoots him dead. (1) On the sequence visible in the footage, it is clear he is acting in self-defense against an imminent armed threat than the “terrorist attack” senior Israeli officials are calling it and using to justify pogroms in Palestinian villages. Five Palestinians were ultimately killed in the broader settler and Israeli military forces attack in this incident. Dozens more have been wounded and property damaged since.

The video shows how the massacre started in the village of Tal, near Nablus. Israeli settlers raided the village, and unarmed Palestinian residents tried to defend their homes. Israeli soldiers and armed settlers then opened fire on them. During the attack, one Palestinian took a settler’s gun to defend himself against the armed settlers. Five Palestinians were murdered in cold blood, while one Israeli settler was also killed.

The Israeli government is saying this guy was out on a hike with 20 close friends and he got ambushed by Palestinians as he was simply trying to enjoy nature… by forcing his way into 2 of the homes in the town they entered. I’m not joking. That’s the story they’re going with.

Approximately 20 Jewish Israelis raided this Palestinian town at 8:30 this morning and provoked a clash with the residents. When the Israelis started getting their asses kicked they called in the IDF who murdered 4 Palestinians in cold blood so they could rescue the invading Jews. And bc one of those invading Jews was killed in the attack THEY provoked, Netanyahu and his psychotic ministers are now calling for the IDF to conduct extensive counterattacks and to raze the houses of every Palestinian “terrorist” involved. See how that works? Jews invade a West Bank town and terrorize the Palestinian population and the worst they are labeled is hoodlums. And MAYBE they’ll be given a slap on the wrist, perhaps house arrest for a weekend, depending on how badly their attack makes Israel look in the world press. But if Palestinians fight back against these violent Jewish extremists, they are either murdered by the IDF or branded as terrorists by the Israeli government who will then destroy their homes and leave their entire family homeless. Every human being has a God given right to use force to defend themselves, their families and their homes. Men who claim that exercising this right makes one a “terrorist” are the enemy of liberty. They are wicked tyrants who should be treated accordingly.

@AliHasanain However, it needs policy initiative along with infrastructure to lure public towards EVs. It can not happen naturally. GoP needs to make requisite environment and policies. You may also write on this to generate public opinion.

Israeli Major General Giora Eiland, former head of Israel's National Security Council, wrote an opinion piece in Yedioth Ahronoth, November 2023, in which he argued that Israel should not "shy away" from facilitating the outbreak of disease in Gaza. He said: "severe epidemics in the south of the Gaza Strip will bring victory closer and reduce casualties among IDF soldiers."

To all international health and humanitarian organizations: Faced with an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, we issue this urgent cry to save Gaza’s infants who are facing death from the simplest preventable diseases. The case of the infant Osama Sahloul, who is less than 20 days old and fighting chickenpox amid severe overcrowding, a shortage of clean water, and a lack of vaccines and medical care, is a stark example of thousands of children whose health is deteriorating under the conditions of the blockade.
