In the 1960s, NASA didn’t ‘upload’ code; they sewed it. To get Apollo 11 to the moon, skilled weavers (often called ‘Little Old Ladies’) literally hand-stitched software into physical objects.
By passing copper wire through tiny magnetic rings, they created Core Rope Memory. The logic was beautifully simple: wire through a ring was a ‘1’; wire around it was a ‘0’. Because the code was physically woven, it was virtually indestructible. It couldn’t be deleted, it couldn’t crash, and it survived the intense radiation of deep space with just 72 kilobytes of data: millions of times less than a single photo on your phone today.
It proves sometimes the most advanced tech is actually handmade.

I grew up with Reem Al Hashimi (nee Ramy Redha).. she was just as calm, beautifully articulate, and exceptionally intelligent then as she seems in this video— and given her position I am not surprised why she’s sticking to the narrative of blaming Iran.. and no one else— however..it’s incredibly frustrating and disingenuous that she says “independent of who started this” as if she’s talking about kids fighting in a playground..
Let me tell you an anecdote about Ramy.. in the early 90s I asked her how does she justify her country not allowing land ownership by people who’ve lived there for decades like my parents (back then we foreigners couldn’t own land)— her response was that UAE does not want its lands to be usurped by foreigners just as Palestine has been by Israel.. today however she has absolutely nothing to say about Israel’s gluttony and terrorism in the region.. politics is truly disgusting..
