Can you imagine? Not only are they refugees, but they are also in charge of the ministry that decides which Ugandans should be given passports!

TEE Extensions push Flare beyond simple onchain logic into verifiable secure compute. This is already live on Coston 2, and dApps in our ecosystem can use this system to: 1. Send instructions onchain 2. Execute custom logic inside a TEE 3. Verify the result back onchain
Flare Devs@FlareDevHub

TEE Extensions let developers run custom logic inside a secure enclave and bring verifiable results back to Flare. Learn more with this example that stores a private key and allows you to sign messages with it: github.com/flare-foundati…

In a moment many Ugandans have described as painfully out of touch, Hon. Justine Nameere has sparked controversy barely days into Parliament after pushing for Vice President Jessica Alupo to be formally addressed as “Her Excellency” instead of the usual “Honourable.” Yes — at a time when ordinary Ugandans are battling collapsing public services, poverty, and rising desperation, one of the newest debates inside Parliament has become how best to inflate the title of the Vice President. For many observers, the moment perfectly captured what they see as the growing disconnect between Uganda’s political elite and the realities facing ordinary citizens. Nameere, whose own election victory in Masaka was already surrounded by controversy and skepticism, appeared more concerned with polishing the status and ego of powerful leaders than addressing the suffering of the people she was elected to represent. This is happening in constituencies where children still walk barefoot to school, where girls miss classes because they cannot afford sanitary pads, where parents pull children out of school over fees, and where families sleep hungry night after night. Yet instead of raising those issues as her first priority in Parliament, Nameere chose to fight for ceremonial titles. To critics, it was not just symbolic, it was revealing. The controversy has since fueled wider frustration about a political class increasingly obsessed with prestige, protocol, and loyalty displays while millions of Ugandans struggle with basic survival. And for many watching, the message was impossible to ignore: while the country sinks deeper into hardship, some leaders are still busy arguing over who deserves to be called “Your Excellency.” YouTube - youtu.be/ITs7K14_ZCA?si…

🚨UPDATE: In September 2021, Dr.Lawrence Muganga the vice chancellor of Victoria University was abducted on gun point by Ugandans military on suspicion of espionage. Military spokesperson by then Brig.Gen.Flavia Byekwaso said reports that Muganga had been kidnapped were “false”. “He was arrested by joint security forces in connection with espionage and illegal stay in the country,“ Byekwaso said. Dr.Lawrence Muganga is a renowned spy/intelligence officer for Rwandase president Paul Kagame, it's alleged that even when he was arrested in Kampala, Rwanda president involved in negotiations for his release. In less than a month, the Parliament of Uganda passed a sovereignty bill that restrains Ugandans from implementing foreign interests in the affairs of Uganda Dr.Lawrence Muganga has 3 citizenship the one of Rwanda,Canada and Uganda. NB: Recently Muhoozi Kainerugaba posted on his X/twitter account confirming that he removed some UPDF officers from the ministry of Internal affairs for denying to issue passports to Rwandase. As I speak now, Dr.Lawrence Muganga a Rwandase was appointed as state minister for Internal affairs purposely to issue passports to Rwandase

This is bullish for XRP — but most people are reading the ETF flow chart the wrong way. BTC and ETH ETFs are no longer in the same lifecycle phase as XRP ETFs. Bitcoin already had its early institutional accumulation window. Ethereum already had its early ETF discovery window. XRP is still in that phase. So the better comparison is not: “XRP green today, BTC/ETH red today.” The better comparison is: XRP’s first 6–12 months of ETF flows vs BTC and ETH’s first 6–12 months. That’s the real signal. XRP may simply be getting its turn.

BTC bled. ETH bled. SOL printed zero. $XRP? 27 consecutive days of inflows. Not once did it stop. 👀 Cumulative ETF inflows: $1.409B This is what quiet accumulation looks like.

As Museveni moves ahead with yet another term in power following his controversial swearing-in for a seventh presidency, many Ugandans continue demanding accountability for the violence, killings and brutality that surrounded the election period. While the regime has tried to move on from those dark events, civic organizations and investigative journalists are refusing to let the country forget. In their latest investigation, Africa Uncensored together with Ukweli Africa revisited the deadly raid at the home of MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi — an operation that left at least 10 people dead. According to the investigation, the victims were polling agents, supporters and helpers connected to Kivumbi. At the time, President Museveni defended the operation by claiming the victims were “terrorists” allegedly attacking polling stations with pangas. But the investigation now challenges that narrative, presenting evidence and testimonies that sharply contradict the official government account. For many Ugandans, this raises painful but necessary questions: Who were these people really? Why were they killed? And why has nobody ever been held accountable? As more investigations continue to emerge, the gap between the government’s version of events and what witnesses say happened on the ground appears to be growing wider. The ghosts of Uganda’s violent election period are clearly far from buried. YouTube - youtu.be/ZDZtT2GHhx8?si…
