it’s good that original horror does well and so consistently so but it would be nice one day if any other genre could consistently do well with original screenplays

Contemplating a piece for TFM on why everyone is crashing out over THE ODYSSEY (not just the E*on of it all but the "dad" discourse, accents, etc.). My question: what is it about this movie that is making it such a lightning rod for discussion? Is it the Nolan? Or something else?

Was planning to go to the theater but here's no major movie opening this weekend. Everyone's asleep at the wheel. Hollywood used to open bangers in May.

Chris Nolan desecrated the Odyssey so that he would be eligible for an Academy Award …

Curry Barker’s ‘OBSESSION’ earned $6.9M domestically on its opening day, including previews. The film is now eyeing a $14M-$19M domestic opening weekend.

Who specifically is the asshole who added DEI lies to Academy Awards eligibility instead of it just being about making the best movie?
