Big Orange is back! Ahead of Artemis II's April launch window, SLS began its rollout to Pad 39B this morning just after midnight local time. Now hard down on the pad, final preparations are underway before the April 1st launch attempt - humanity's grand return to the moon, over 50 years in the making, is upon us! 📸 - @NASASpaceflight

The Artemis II SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft successfully completed their overnight rollout despite challenging high winds that delayed the start until around 12:20 a.m. on March 20. The 11-million-pound stack, moved at just under 1 mph across the 4-mile long crawlerway and is now secured at the pad. Final preparations are underway, with the mission targeting a launch no earlier than April 1. #ArtemisII #NASA #SLS #MoonMission 🌕 📷 @rpg571

NEWS: The Space Systems Command, responsible for buying rockets launches for the U.S. military, has reassigned the upcoming GPS III-8 national security launch from ULA to @SpaceX. The mission will now fly on SpaceX's Falcon 9 instead of ULA’s Vulcan rocket. The switch comes as the military looks to ensure reliable and timely deployment of the critical GPS satellite while an investigation into a Vulcan anomaly is ongoing.

We’ve been to the Moon. This time, potentially as soon as 12 days from now, we’re going back to stay. Artemis began in President Trump’s first term and in his second, he doubled down. Returning. Establishing a base. Launching to Mars.

FCC Filing Alerts@fccfilingalerts·
🚨🚨 Blue Origin - FCC Docket SAT-LOA-20260310-00118 SpaceX has filed a letter with the FCC requesting that the agency apply the same regulatory scrutiny to Blue Origin’s recent satellite application as it does to SpaceX’s own orbital data center proposal. To facilitate this, SpaceX submitted a petition to deny originally filed by Amazon against SpaceX. SpaceX argues that because Blue Origin claims its system is similar to SpaceX’s proposed network, both companies should be subject to the same substantive and procedural challenges. The underlying dispute involves SpaceX’s ambitious plan to launch up to one million satellites between 500 and 2,000 kilometers in altitude to create an orbital data center system. Amazon’s petition argues this plan should be dismissed because it lacks essential technical data, including specific radiofrequency characteristics, satellite designs, and orbital debris mitigation strategies. Amazon characterizes the proposal as a speculative placeholder rather than a complete application. By incorporating these arguments into the record for Blue Origin’s filing, SpaceX seeks to ensure consistent treatment and avoid a distorted competitive playing field across the satellite industry. 🔗 fccalerts.com/api/pdf/ce84ce…

The new heavily reinforced roof has been installed on top of Pad 1's Integration Tower. This appears to be intended to allow for a minor amount of exhaust impingement on the roof. Do yal think this is more likely to be necessary for Superheavy or the Ship? 🎥: @LabPadre

NEWS: NASA is planning a bigger @SpaceX Moon mission role using Starship, in a massive blow to Boeing. With the new proposal, Boeing's SLS would no longer be used to boost Orion close to the moon. Instead, Starship and Orion would dock in Earth orbit, giving Starship the pivotal role of propelling the capsule to the moon’s orbit, before taking astronauts down to the surface. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

NEWS: Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin has filed an official request with the FCC to launch and operate a constellation of 51,600 AI satellites (orbital datacenters), just two weeks after Amazon filed a formal petition calling on the FCC to deny @SpaceX’s 1 million-satellite proposal for orbiting datacenters, going as far to claim the project would take “centuries” to deploy. Blue Origin's project, called “Project Sunrise,” would include up to 51,600 satellites in low Earth orbit, designed to run AI and cloud computing workloads using constant solar power. The system would primarily use laser (optical) links between satellites. Blue Origin says "space-based data centers could relieve pressure on Earth’s power grids and water usage."

Recovery Ship Jacklyn & Support Vessel Harvey Stone were caught departing Port Canaveral this afternoon on @NASASpaceflight Space Coast Live. It feels very early to be preparing for New Glenn-3, so this is likely sea trials/testing. Can you share any insight @davill?
