Reports indicate nearly 200 immigrants in Saudi Arabia are at risk of execution. Yesterday, 8 lives were already lost. We need immediate intervention from @UNHCR and @HumanRightsCtte to ensure their safety and return home. #Justice #SaveMigrantsInSaudi

Day 1918 of the #TigrayGenocide: Forcible displacement, persecution, and destruction ofcivilian life arenot allegations —they are codified crimes. Crimes Against Humanity under Rome Statute, Art.7. Silence does not negate liability. #TigrayCantWait #Justice4Tigray

Day 1917 of the #TigrayGenocide: #Tigray is not “post-conflict.” 🚩 80% of schools destroyed. 🚩 Millions remain displaced. 🚩 #WesternTigray ethnically cleansed. These are ongoing crimes under international law. #Justice4Tigray #AmharaOutOfTigray

the last few days, three towns in Tigray — Entcho, Gendebta, and the Maitsebri area — have been indiscriminately targeted by drone strikes. These attacks occurred in areas with no active fighting and no military presence, leaving civilians exposed and defenseless. Tigray is a people already exhausted by war. The region has not recovered from the previous conflict, and the trauma is still raw. More than one million internally displaced people (IDPs) remain trapped in makeshift camps, living in tents under inhumane conditions for nearly five years. They face hunger, lack of healthcare, poor sanitation, and constant insecurity. All of this is happening in direct violation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement, which was meant to end hostilities and protect civilians. Instead of peace, the people of Tigray are witnessing renewed violence, collective punishment, and deliberate destabilization. The Abiy Ahmed government has established a committee composed of well-known anti-Tigray figures, reportedly funded with a large state budget. This committee’s actions go beyond politics. Its objective appears to be the systematic dismantling of Tigray’s existence—politically, economically, culturally, and historically.
This is an assault on identity, heritage, and the right of a people to exist with dignity. The silence of the so-called international order is deeply troubling.
Why is one of the worst ongoing genocides of our time ignored, while conflicts with far fewer civilian casualties receive immediate attention, outrage, and resources? Are Tigrayan children and civilians worth less by any human measure?
Is their suffering less real, their lives less valuable, their future less deserving of protection? Justice cannot be selective.
Human rights cannot depend on geography or political convenience.
And peace cannot exist where crimes are met with silence. #UpholdThePretoriaAgreement #BringBackHomeTheTigreanIDPs #Justice4TheTigrayGenocide @cnni @BBCWorld @addisstandard @USEmbassyAddis @SecMarcoRu7700 @martinplaut @DavidAltonHL @coe @EU_Commission @AmnestyIntAU

News: #Tigray authorities warn against unjustified price hikes amid market anxiety Authorities in Tigray have issued coordinated warnings against what they describe as unjustified price hikes and market disruptions, amid heightened public anxiety linked to recent transport interruptions. In statements released over the past two days, the Tigray Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, the Tigray Interim Administration (#TIA), and the #Mekelle City Administration said prices of basic commodities have risen in several cities, including Mekelle, despite the absence of significant supply shortages. The Chamber of Commerce said some traders have used the temporary suspension of #Ethiopian Airlines flights to and from Tigray as a pretext to raise prices on essential goods. While noting that most merchants are not engaged in such practices, the Chamber warned that the actions of a few risk harming the reputation of the wider business community and placing additional strain on residents. It urged traders to refrain from hoarding and unjustified price increases, to act responsibly, and to continue transactions through bank transfers and other market mechanisms amid ongoing cash shortages. The Chamber also called for peaceful dialogue to resolve political disputes and ensure the full implementation of the Pretoria Agreement. Echoing these concerns, the TIA said it would take “uncompromising legal action” against merchants involved in illegal price hikes, hoarding, and the spread of war-related rumors, accusing some traders of exploiting public fear for personal gain. It urged the public to report violations. The Mekelle City Administration similarly warned that misinformation and unfair pricing are worsening hardship, stressing that no objective supply or inflationary conditions justify recent increases. It cautioned that administrative and legal measures would be taken against violators. The warnings were reinforced by the Tigray Trade and Export Agency, which said exaggerated price increases have been recorded in various areas. Authorities said the measures aim to stabilize markets and reduce public anxiety in an already fragile economic and political environment.

Two drone attacks in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region on Saturday targeted trucks and killed a driver, as fears grew of a fresh conflict between local and federal forces. Hostilities broke out in recent days in Tsemlet, western Tigray, an area claimed by forces from the neighboring Amhara region.

Ethiopia's last war in Tigray essentially ended as a result of the introduction of drones by the ENDF. Those same drones are now the opening salvo of a new war that is sure to look very different from the last one. reuters.com/world/africa/d…
