The key difference is credibility, Getachew’s shifting positions make his statements difficult to take seriously, as they often appear aimed at appeasing whichever audience holds influence at the moment. It is also hard to believe you overlooked the repeated appeals from Tigray to the Prosperity Party, the African Union, and the broader international community to uphold and fully implement the #COHA. You are aware that Prime Minister Abiy effectively undermined the agreement by revoking the TPLF’s legal party status, despite it being a signatory, and by failing to ensure the withdrawal of external forces from Tigray.
