So I managed to get a photo speeding ticket from CANADA. Yep, they tracked me down and mailed it to me back home. But the real kicker? I’ve spent all day trying to figure out how the hell to pay it. Their website won’t take a US zip code for my credit card.

I’m done with @AmericanAir - delayed multiple times today. Rebooked in CLT through SEA, but due to more delays, I missed the last PDX flight. No American agents to be found. Phone rep tells me there’s no flights tomorrow either, which is a flat lie since Alaska has 15+ a day.

Meanwhile, I finally just rented a car and am driving back home. I have work tomorrow and can’t risk the unknown of if/when I’ll get a flight. I get delays happen, but the complete lack of customer service today means I’ll be avoiding @AmericanAir in the future….

They offered a hotel voucher and told me to come back to the airport in the morning and “they’ll see if they can find me a flight.” No one knows where my bag is - they think it’s already been handed off to Alaska Air but they can’t confirm that.

craziest thing about these icu triples is that these patients are being billed for 1:1 care and instead they’re getting care that puts their health in jeopardy, live laugh love American healthcare xoxo

@ModerateFERN @ffmichelle @Nursing_Heretic I like the fact it has multiple spikes and a reservoir bucket, so you don’t ever run dry and don’t need to open doors/pressurize bags. It has the ability to set flow rate and will auto-set to as much as your line can take.

NurseTok. Just coming here to say. Putting a pump on 999 is NOT a fluid bolus. A liter over 10-15 minutes. Or 250 ml over 5 mins or less… that’s a bolus.

I don’t think non-icu nurses will truly understand how satisfying this is, and, also, how tedious it is to get one of these going when you have somebody on this much support lol

I’m really getting fed up with @Verizon They are supposed to unlock your device so you can add a 2nd eSIM (for my work line) after 60 days. I’ve called 3 times now, spent 2 hours on the phone and it keeps getting denied. Any help here @VerizonSupport??

We must take care of the people who take care of Oregonians – all hospital staff deserve a fair contract. All parties in the Providence strike must return to the table immediately to resolve their disagreements so normal operations and care can resume.

@gretchemaben Dilaudid works better for pain control, but this is largely because providers massive underdose Morphine. It also has less side effects (itching, nausea, etc) Personally, I throw up with morphine even when given with Zofran, but have no issues with Dilaudid.

Genuine Question: Why do people ask for Dilaudid over other opiates?

Fun fact: there was a trans woman in the bathroom I was using today. You’ll never believe what I did next: I pissed. I washed my hands. I nodded to them on the way out, and I went on about my day because I’m not a fucking psychopath who cares what bathroom people use.
