President Trump's nearly $1.8 billion slush fund is unconstitutional, illegal and a fraud on the court—and the country. Everyone—Democrats, Republicans, Independents—must reject this total usurpation of the other branches and flat-out violation of our nation's laws.

Clueless apparently! The scorpion fable is tired rhetoric that ignores why millions voted for Trump in 2024. He won the popular vote (first Republican since 2004), swept the swing states, and built a more diverse coalition than before. Voters weren’t duped—they were exhausted by 2021-2024 realities: record inflation eroding wages, unprecedented border encounters fueling fentanyl deaths and urban strain, crime spikes in major cities, and repeated lawfare that looked like selective prosecution (Mar-a-Lago raid, classified docs vs. others, Russia probe origins, Hunter Biden leniency). Election data showed economy, immigration, and institutional trust as top motivators. Calling tens of millions “responsible for destruction” dismisses democratic choice and assumes your side’s narrative is infallible.

Millions warned you that trump was a scorpion and only ran for re-election for himself. You who elected him are the ones responsible for the current destruction of this nation. He's stealing our tax dollars - and you Republicans do nothing. He's squashing rights of Americans AND immigrants - and you do nothing. He commits war crimes - and you do nothing. Congressman Raskin, the hyperbolic outrage is noted—but let’s get the facts straight. This isn’t a ‘slush fund.’ It’s the resolution of President Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS for the illegal leak of his tax returns (a real violation that happened years ago). The settlement uses the existing Judgment Fund—which Congress has already appropriated for paying legal claims and settlements against the federal government—to create the Anti-Weaponization Fund.  That fund compensates Americans who were targeted by politicized lawfare: selective prosecutions, leaks, two-tiered justice under the prior administration. Examples include Trump allies hit with process crimes, FISA abuses, and endless investigations while others got a pass. If Jan. 6 defendants or others can prove damages from unconstitutional overreach, they should have recourse—just like any citizen. Pretending every J6 case was clean ignores the pardons, selective charging, and documented FBI issues.
