@YourPalRags I've never had this issue, but I guess I mostly have it open on a separate window anyway. The one bug that kills me though is that their shuffle is broken. It doesn't work and I'll loop through like the 12 same songs in a giant playlist

Why does Youtube Music just randomly pause the music you're listening to and require you to tab back in to click Continue on it? Can somebody explain this to me? Who designs these applications? Actual idiots?

@QTRBlackGarrett It's definitely a process to emulate, but the Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventure on GameCube is one of my favorites of all time.

@SethC1995 2/2 I think a better point though is that since Japanese has this cultural element regardless of setting, including them in English can be super helpful in understanding character dynamics. And mister / miss does not mean the same as san/sama. It's more accurate to leave them in.

@SethC1995 Suffix honorifics aren't always required, it would just not imply any honorifics, which if the setting isn't in Japan that could make sense if the author wanted to do that. 1/2

As a translator, the only time I think honorifics should be preserved is when the setting actually takes place within Japan. Re:Zero is a non-Japanese fantasy world, so I'd be more inclined to drop honorifics in lieu of things like "Mister" or "Lady" to better fit the setting.

@AnatSja @Scratch_Point_Z True. I think if they remade the game like dragon quest 7 remake, then it would've worked too. I've tried maybe 3 times to play the original and I can never get past the first 2 hours. It just drags on for me

Completely missing the obvious Nintendo joke here aside, games like Dragon Quest IV are still highly playable regardless of the arbitrary passage of time. It's a really wonderful game with a lot of interesting aspects, especially for an "old" RPG, such as playing a different group of heroes in every chapter, Torneko's chapter where you operate an item shop in addition to the typical adventuring, the casino games, etc. And though I personally wasn't the biggest fan of how AI takes over for everyone in the party except for the hero during the final chapter, the way it was implemented was still fairly impressive. I played the NES Dragon Quest IV (with uncensored patch) to completion a little over a year ago on stream. There are so many great RPGs (and games in general) from eras past & pretending they become unplayable due to modern conveniences is frankly a sad way to view gaming. My favorites never become obsolete just because shiny new technology or endless remakes inevitably "replaces" them in the market & public eye. True quality is timeless.

@pizzakei1 @Scratch_Point_Z I played the original last year and really enjoyed it and I'm going through the remake right now and I appreciate all of the fixes to some of the unbalanced combat. I do really miss the charm of that older chibi style presentation though.

@Scratch_Point_Z Yeah I think different generations are gonna have different opinions too. I won't be too obtuse about it cause I understand both sides. Like personally, Trails in the Sky original was too dated for me, I didn't enjoy the gameplay loop. The remake is a bit better personally

@Scratch_Point_Z I'm of a younger generation, but my older siblings had a lot of older stuff, and I almost tend to prefer to modern stuff these days. I played Dragon Warrior II on my gameboy just the other year and had a ton of fun with it.
