@British_Airways at Alicante airport the check in machines don't recognise BA references or passports and no check in desks are open 3 hours before the flight. Is this usual?

@MichaelWarbur17 The last time I saw John before his death was July 2020 at his flat when we tried to record on a laptop an audio version of 'Afraid of the Lights’ crime anthology. We discussed the "mulch-fuck" line...still makes me laugh. He's sorely missed.

@ArtyBagger I was a close friend of John's during his last four years. John was fiercely proud of his Scottish ancestry (his parents were Scottish) but he was actually born in Bedford.

That the brilliant Scottish actor and comedian John Sessions has rightly been eulogised everywhere since his tragic death on Monday, except in the Scottish press, is both utterly baffling and depressing.

Some tributes well worth watching on TV: Stella Street (John Sessions) tonight at 9.30pm on BBC4, Butterflies (Geoffrey Palmer) tomorrow at 6pm on BBC2. On Tuesday and Wednesday, BBC4 has tributes to Diana Rigg.

When the wonderful #JohnSessions left us, we were trying to find a particular photo in the archive. Only took us a month, hidden deep in an old Mac Book. Here in Clerkenwell in 2008 he is in all his glory, with The Word Serpent and Ganzfeld Man.

Lovely succinct tribute to John Sessions in the new Private Eye which credits him with introducing the term 'luvvies' to the magazine. I didn't know that.

I attended grad school with John Marshall aka John Sessions #johnsessions — like being treated to an improv show every day in the grad lounge. Hysterical stuff! Alas, such a loss.

I can see clearly now the orange fog is dissipating.

In the months before his passing #JohnSessions narrated the audiobook of our charity anthology #AfraidOfTheLight. This was his last project & fitting perhaps that a book which supports @samaritans should have been read by a man so good at listening & committed to helping others.

John Sessions was brilliant in public and a wonderful, compassionate man in private. So sad to hear John has died.
