@joemccann @IBKR ibkr api rate limits you heavily - something like 60 requests every 10 mins
English

.@IBKR has loads of historical data, cross-asset and is free if you have an account.
I even made an open source repo to extract it and store locally in parquet format; you can query with DuckDB.

What free plugins/APIs do you use with Claude to get access to historical market data?
English

@ajsharp @joemccann @IBKR I was looking into that but struggling even to come close to understand the concept how to store option data, so much information. Chats tickers, exparation.
What stack you use for that?
English

@joemccann @IBKR Totally. Have been doing this with options data, by far the best "free" option i've found, at least from a brokerage api
English

@gercekci_V @joemccann @IBKR what are you using? I hate it too, but their data subscription is very attractive!
English

@joemccann @IBKR @ibkr has a horrible user-interface, i decided to stop using it and pay premium extra cost elsewhere where user interface is much more friendly. call me stupid but I have seen zero improvement by ibkr in the last 7 years - they do not even try
English

@Pps831 @joemccann @IBKR in my experience Massive/Polygon has higher trading volume then IBKR too.
But higher volume/more trades does not mean better and visa versa.
there can be some settling trades and other stuff that are not related.
Also as I understand nasdaq post only nasdaq volume
English

@joemccann @IBKR Do u use tws-api to get it? I recall when I tried it long time ago total traded volume absolutely didn’t match totals from sites like nasdaq.com etc. So, I never used it after that
English

@joemccann @IBKR this is very interesting. for trading especially
English

@Tradesdontlie This would be interesting for my trading UI. Bu tuse for my own software - basically GenUI
English

@ivanfioravanti I need to test this. Need a very fast model for simple validations

🚨 Screen Studio charges $89 for this. Someone open sourced the entire thing for free.
It's called OpenScreen. 8,400+ GitHub stars.
You record your screen. It automatically transforms it into a polished, professional demo video.
Auto-zoom into clicks. Smooth cursor animations. Motion blur. Custom backgrounds with wallpapers, gradients, and shadows. Webcam overlays. Annotations. Timeline editing. Export in any aspect ratio.
The exact workflow that Screen Studio sells for $89 and Loom sells as a subscription. Free. No watermarks. No accounts. No subscriptions.
Here's what you get out of the box:
→ Full screen or window capture with system audio and mic
→ Automatic zoom that follows your cursor and clicks
→ Manual zoom with customizable depth and timing
→ Smooth motion blur on pan and zoom transitions
→ Animated cursor rendering with motion effects
→ Webcam bubble overlay with drag-and-drop positioning
→ Wallpapers, solid colors, gradients, or custom backgrounds
→ Text and arrow annotations layered over recordings
→ Timeline trimming and variable speed segments
→ Crop, resize, and export in any resolution or aspect ratio
→ Save and reopen projects anytime
Here's the wildest part:
A developer forked it and built an even more advanced version called Recordly. Full cursor animation pipeline. Native macOS and Windows recording. Zoom behavior that mirrors Screen Studio frame-for-frame. Audio tracks. Webcam overlays with zoom-reactive scaling.
Both are free. Both are MIT licensed. Both work on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Download. Record. Export. Done.
100% Open Source. MIT License.

@Fried_rice @skocherhan Hey guys, just be aware, this is copyrighted stuff. And if you download and use it, it is stealing and might bring you behind bars.
Just saying

@Radul_14 @Dezignplugz @RiseOfAlberta you mean the country will be as poor as Luxemburg, Switzerland or Austria?
Oh the horror

English

@AndreyGodsonn @Dezignplugz @RiseOfAlberta You’re landlocked btw so anything you want from shipping will cost you insane amounts lol.
English

@Dezignplugz @RiseOfAlberta You have more strong voting power for taxes and other policies.
Alberta can have independent export agreements with other countries, different from Canada.
Different immegration rules
A lot of benefits. In the current world smaller states benefit more then the bigger
English

Can someone explain how Alberta leaving Canada benefits me as a citizen?
Like what changes am I going to see in my income.
What exactly is the impact for us as citizens
Not the general rhetoric consumed from other people, like critical thoughtful and realistic changes that will happen in the lives of Albertans?
Because it seems to me like the usual garbage, some people spin a tale and everyone jumps on it like they are bots in a simulation.

I ran a 35-billion parameter AI agent on a $600 Mac mini.
Specs: M4 Mac-Mini 16GB RAM
The model doesn't fit in RAM. It pages from the SSD at 30 tokens/second.
On NVIDIA, the same paging gives you 1.6 tok/s. Apple Silicon gives you 30. That's 18.6x faster.
No cloud. No API keys. $0/month.
Here's what it can do 🧵
English

@Daniel_Farinax Do it!! Please try the MLX package with higher ram for the 35B it should be able to do agentic and increase context window

@dealignai order for me one waiting now...

For MacBook 128gb owners - MiniMax m2.5 at 60gb in JANG format should be your base model. While 120b models are great, the kinds of understanding that a 230b model has is a noticeable difference. Running at a smooth 45+ token/s on M4Max/M5Max, this has been my go to LLM for alot of work. #macbook #m5max huggingface.co/JANGQ-AI/MiniM…
