The grief of losing a child is something that no parent should ever have to know. We launched 988 in 2022. We invested in it. We fought for it. And now the data is in: an 11% drop in youth suicide. This should be a bigger story.  Scientists are more concerned than ever that a critical Atlantic current will collapse soon and wreak havoc on North America and Europe. The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, or AMOC, is a massive conveyor belt of ocean currents that transports water from the tropics to the Atlantic.  Without it, severe weather would impact both regions at potentially devastating rates. That’s not what we’re here to do. We’re not out to go around and just find all the little bits and pieces of everything that they smashed and tape it together and say, “Here you go, I give you the world as it looked in 2023.” That’s not going to work. It’s not what we need. So much has changed, and the truth is they are destroying things right and left. They’re destroying a lot of good, important things. They’re destroying some useless things too, because they’re destroying everything. So now we get a chance to put things together on different terms.
