@JamesSurowiecki Not really. The Spirit debt would have been refinanced in the buyout. Older Jet Blue plane leases wouldn't have been renewed in favor of newer Spirit aircraft. Duplicate hubs would have been closed. Jet Blue has a successful model. The D's killed it.

If JetBlue's acquisition of Spirit had been approved, there's a good chance JetBlue would now be headed into bankruptcy, too.

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany. It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.

Lousiana has the second-highest percent of Black residents of any state in the country, second only to Mississippi. New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport are three of the Blackest major cities in the USA. The Supreme Court just ruled that Louisiana cannot have a single Black representative because, that say, that's racist. But a state defined by Black history and culture having all-white representatives is not. MAGA America, y'all.
