At this 250-year mark of the beginning of American democracy, we see democracy for all under attack. There cannot be democracy in this country for just a privileged few. Democracy must exist for us all. Unfortunately, it's the United States Supreme Court that's leading the movement to deconstruct our democracy, and it must be reformed.

American businesses and consumers were finally free from Trump's tariffs just in time to be slapped down again by a price increase from Trump’s war of choice.

Today, I led the @HouseDemocrats in wearing orange to honor Hadiya Pendleton and every life stolen by gun violence. Orange was Hadiya's favorite color, and now, it's a bright beacon for gun violence awareness. We owe survivors more than thoughts & prayers. We owe them action.

Whether you live in a rural community or in a growing suburb of Metro-Atlanta, you deserve to be connected. People just want a fair shot. That’s really what this comes down to- making sure that folks in smaller communities aren’t treated like an afterthought.

Rising healthcare costs from companies simply seeking to raise their bottom line are still a problem outside of the patent space. PBM middlemen raise drug prices, insurance companies have increased discretionary denials while decreasing coverage, and mergers among healthcare providers prevent Americans from having options as to where they get their care. We should not have to accept high-priced healthcare as an inescapable American burden.
