@Rjoethompsonjr @RepMikeLevin Nope. Lindsay Graham has a bill in the Senate asking for 400 million for the ballroom. The funds Trump raised for the ballroom? He's gonna keep them lol.

@RepMikeLevin The woke and misinformed comments are ridiculous. Ballroom is privately funded. Fountains were way less than reported and under budget and on time. This misinformed fool is deflecting the real fraud and crimes committed by governors, senators, reps, and mayor's of blue states.

This is the question worth asking every time a story like this comes out: if there’s no money for your health care, your kids’ schools, or the programs your family depends on, where is it going?      The Trump Administration just paid $17.4 million to fix two decorative fountains outside the White House. Three years ago, the same job was estimated at $3.3 million.       And guess what? The construction company that got the contract is the same one building Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom, and they got it without any competitive bidding whatsoever. The contract wasn’t even posted publicly, as required by federal law.      So how do you get from $3.3 million to $17.4 million? They added 27% for inflation. Then they added another 24% for inflation again. Then they tacked on additional charges that federal contracting experts said they had never seen before in their careers.      And the justification for bypassing the normal bidding process entirely? The fountains needed to be ready for America’s 250th anniversary. It’s worth noting that these fountains haven’t worked for nearly a decade. If the repairs were truly that urgent, why are they only fixing them now, and why are taxpayers footing a surcharge for the rush?      You are paying for this.   nytimes.com/2026/04/25/us/…

@TalbertSwan It would be great if you stopped spreading hat3 by lumping all white Americans together. King did great things, but let's not forget how he betrayed his marriage vow over and over

White Americans in 2026 are every bit as racist as their predecessors were 1n 1960. They love quoting Martin Luther King Jr. when it’s safe, sanitized, and stripped of its sting. They post his lines about unity, peace, dreams, and being judged by the content of your character, while ignoring that the fact that King was arrested, surveilled, hated, and ultimately killed for confronting the very systems they now defend. They celebrate his words but reject his work. Because the same movement that marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, facing clubs, tear gas, and bloodshed, forced this nation to pass the Voting Rights Act. And now, as that very law is being dismantled piece by piece, the same people quoting King are applauding the rollback. They praise the man while betraying the mission. They honor the quote while opposing the cause. They invoke Selma but side with the forces that made Selma necessary. The racism didn’t disappear, it just learned how to dress itself in court opinions and talking points. In 2026 it’s no different in substance than it was in the 1960s. The hypocrisy is as clear as ever. They don’t want King the agitator, they want King the ornament. We must now summon the strength of our ancestors, lean on the God of our weary years, and continue the fight they started, because quitting was never an option, and freedom has never been given, only won.

@TalbertSwan That is very divisive - generalizing all White people as racist. As a man of God, you know that all are created in God's image & we are commanded to love one another. How about more messages about that- isn't that a better plan than an inflammatory post?

@TheFungi669 Why does Tennessee have a district drawn for blacks only? Why does a demographic that is 13% of the population need special districts? Are you saying every race should have districts? Where are the Asian ones?

For so long we have heard the South is post racial and we have moved on from our past. But, as soon as they could Southern states are moving at rapid speed to eliminate Black elected officials districts. The Robert’s court has revived Jim Crow fully back to life.

@RossKneeDeep What black history is being erased? What voting rights have you lost? Just curious. White people are tired of being hated. The hatred from black people and the left has triggered this mass reaction in society. But nobody is losing any rights. That’s absurd.

Can anyone honestly say that the current movement of America hasn't been to disenfranchise black people? Affirmative action, gone. DEI considerations, gone. Black military leadership, gone. Black women in government jobs, gone. Black History, erased. Voting rights, suppressed. Civil Rights, gone. Even the MAGA tap dancers are being removed. One thing for sure is that we are currently moonwalking back in time to a time that "Makes America Great Again" for some people. It's no longer a hidden agenda. The question is, why are we heading in this direction? What's the benefit?

The Justice Department has identified 384 naturalized Americans it wants to strip of citizenship. Officials are calling this the “first wave.” The American people deserve answers about who these 384 people are and why they were chosen. We need to know whether the list was assembled on the merits or on prejudice. What are the specific grounds being cited for each case? Is there a pattern by country of origin, religion, or ethnicity? Is there a pattern by political affiliation or by support for causes this administration dislikes?  For context, between 1990 and 2017 the government filed an average of just 11 denaturalization cases per year. What is happening now is a different operation entirely, one that pulls experienced prosecutors off healthcare fraud, civil rights, and procurement fraud cases to go after Americans who already took the oath. Naturalized citizens are not second class Americans. They earned their citizenship and the Constitution protects it. Before a single case is filed, the Justice Department owes the public a straight answer about how this list was built and who is on it. nytimes.com/2026/04/23/us/…

We are here because people didn't fully understand why their votes counted. Why sitting out elections has consequences, and how voting based on excitement is harmful. Now here we are, with not only a conservative Supreme Court, but a Supreme Court hell-bent on taking away progress. Voting Rights Act ensured that Black people had a voice. That we were represented. The Supreme Court has limited it. This does not mean stop voting. It means that we have to register more people to vote, we have to overwhelm the system. #DemsUnited

@MikeLevin This is stupid. Of course there is merit behind those on the list, and that info will be made available at the right time. Not that it matters, democrats will defend the rapists and violent persons anyway. The justice department owes you nothing.

How is this being treated as normal? A Republican governor is declaring a state of emergency to cancel an ongoing election for Congress. If you think this is ends with redistricting, you are not paying attention.

I urge our state legislature to reconvene to redistrict another Republican seat in Memphis. It's essential to cement @realDonaldTrump’s agenda and the Golden Age of America. I've vowed to keep Tennessee a red state, and as Governor, I'll do everything I can to make this map a reality.

@DrewSav "Don't make voting districts based on race" is literally the exact opposite of that. Democrats are the original segregationists and seems like they are upset that the court ruled that it's still as wrong now as it was then.

There's a fundamental rejection of free expression baked into this. Jake Tapper and members of the media aren't calling for violence against the President. Criticism is not incitement. The idea that anyone critical of a president bears responsibility for political violence reduces the First Amendment to a conditional privilege. That's the logic of authoritarian regimes. It absolves the perpetrator and collectivizes guilt against the opposition. It is flatly incompatible with America.
