Anglicanism stands or falls on apostolic succession. If we have it, we are true Church with valid orders, without it, we are not.

DWGC News: Progressive parishes in @the_ACNA "threaten to LEAVE" if their candidate, Fr Russell Martin, isn't made bishop. A social worker from California, he vaunts his "feminist" mother, an Episcopal priest. Pressed on the DWGC's stance against female priests, he equivocates.

@AndrewForFaith @AnglicanReform One of the reasons I think you're going to struggle getting traction (esp with bishops) is the way you're framing this: that the ACNA was founded as some kind of 'pure' jurisdiction, which has since been entered by 'wolves' slipping in and espousing 'progressive modernism'.

DWGC Update: A member of the Episcopal Nominations Team confirms parishes are "threatening to leave" over women's right to preach at Eucharistic services. The threats reportedly came after the original candidate, Fr Sharpe, indicated he wouldn't support the practice. @the_ACNA

Women’s ordination advocates will not stop until they have alienated every single last orthodox Priest, Bishop, and layperson from the church. They will cry saying they don’t feel welcome as they beg church goers to ask themselves if the ACNA is right for them if you oppose women’s ordination. What we are facing in this day and age is a manipulative take over of our church. We are on the brink of being no better than the episcopal church. Those who speak their opinions regarding women being ordained as Priests, are shut down and condemned. Our struggle isn’t merely about ecclesiastical malpractice, it’s the question of how far will ACNA leadership allow us to fall off the modernist pit until our church’s identity as Anglican is no more?

My second short piece for The Anglican Way, in which I encourage parishes to consider abandoning or paring down their printed weekly bulletins to use the BCPs in our pews, instead. (Though I know this would be difficult for parishes that make use of supplemental materials...)
