Just a reminder that absolutely nothing is going to improve with congestion pricing. All of the activists and lobbyists and bureaucrats who insisted that marvelous transit improvements are forthcoming were lying. The MTA is a disaster, they still have a 33 billion dollar hole in their budget, and even if it somehow gets filled by even MORE taxes, they are simply incapable of a course correction. That’s just a fact. Shoveling tens of billions at this agency without any concrete demand for accountability or a change in management was never going to yield any results. But once again, they just don’t care. The activists are just in it to inflict pain on the people they hate. Everyone else involved is thrilled to have more money to waste. And regular New Yorkers lose again.
