Food inflation is nowhere the level in Japan as it is in Canada. This is from a Ramen shop that I would often go to in Tokyo when I lived here more than 15 years ago. At the time this bowl of noodles would cost ¥950 Now it is ¥1100 For context, that is about $10 CAD. Where in Canada can you get a full belly for 10 Bucks?

It shows that Medieval England was an outlier (because of the Gulf Stream, probably). Outliers exist now too, the warming is happening much faster in some places than others.
