Protestant: "The Pope didn't speak about Christians being martyred in Nigeria." Catholic: Shows video of the Pope speaking directly about Christians being martyred in Nigeria. Protestant: "Well, the Pope has never spoken about Christians being martyred by Islamists." Catholic: Shows video of the Pope speaking directly about Christians being martyred by Islamists. Protestant: "Well, the Pope has never spoken about my neighbor flipping me off." At some point, it becomes obvious that these people are not interested in truth. They begin with their conclusion, get corrected, and then immediately move the goalposts because the real issue was never the facts. It was always hostility to the Church.

@MethodMinistry Saxon worshippers are really angry that the Vicar of Christ won't follow along with their retard Zionist plan to summon Jesus by turning the Middle East into one giant Israel.

@colinsmo It doesnt. Unless you think false "gospels" (e.g the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Judas, etc) poke holes in the claims of a closed, reliable Biblical canon.

I’m all for more eyes on the Avignon popes, as it pokes holes in claims of unbroken succession. I also find it historically indisputable that the claim of supremacy and infalibioity by the bishop of Rome is the single biggest cause of division in Christianity. Change my mind.

@colinsmo You do not understand. That is correct. Are you really arguing that a war with Iran would be just? Are you one of those morons who thinks we can summon Jesus again by turning the middle east into a nuclear warzone?

I genuinely don't understand these biblically, historically, and demonstrably false sweeping statements. This reads like Campbell Soup for the Soul. Are there Catholics out there who agree?
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

@colinsmo The reformation happened so that zionist, evangelical retards could plunge the world into economic uncertainty and violent conflict, only to get upset when the Vicar of Christ rightly disagrees with your idiacy?

Imagine just swimming the Tiber and then reading the pope’s Twitter feed over the last week. Just in case you forgot why the Reformation happened, head on over and see for yourself.

@CF_Farrow Pope Leo XIV has been right about everything. Moron evangelicals are a poison to this country.

If you’re cheering for the Pope when he criticises Donald Trump, you don't get to hit the mute button when he speaks on abortion, gender ideology, and assisted suicide. Human dignity isn’t a buffet. You can’t weaponise the Vatican’s moral authority only when it suits your campaign. Consistency matters.

So Pope Leo XIV has traveled to Algeria, a predominantly Moslem country, to talk about the coexistence and affirm that Christians and Muslims can live in peace, while there is an ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria and the Congo. Just a few hours into his visit, two Moslems proved him right by blowing themselves up. I suppose that’s the kind of ‘coexistence’ he means… or I guess they were probably just eager to meet their 72 virgins.

I could be wrong, but I think lefty bishops are overplaying their hand here. I think we’re getting to the point that most Americans are going to see this for what it is and it’s not going to push Trump supporters away from Trump. It’s going to push Americans to have negative feelings about the Catholic Church.

I don’t understand why and how Catholics are upset by President Trump’s now-deleted post portraying himself in the likeness of God. Catholics portray the pope this way every damn day. Am I to understand that it’s only sinful if you depict it as a literal image, but it’s fine if your give another man honor and authority only Christ has?

Nigeria will not be seeing Pope Leo during his current African tour, meaning the country’s wait for a papal visit enters its 28th year. The last papal visit was Pope John Paul II in 1998 and also in 1982. In 2025, more than 7,000 Christians were killed in Nigeria in the first 220 days. An average of 35 killings a day according to the Nigeria-based human rights groups. Nigeria accounts for roughly 72% of all Christian deaths for faith globally.

JD Vance publishes his bullshit book about his conversion to Catholicism and then a week later is forced by Trump to defend his blasphemy against Christ and attack the Pope and Catholic Church. In case you needed more evidence that he is a sociopath who believes in nothing.
