I hope the vast majority of freedom-loving Americans are uncomfortable with the idea that masked police are now telling people engaged in First Amendment-protected activity that they are "domestic terrorists" who will be added to a secret government database.

Georgia nonprofit Tiny House Hand Up wants to build modest-sized homes to help with Calhoun, GA's housing crisis. But the city bans all homes smaller than 1,150-sqare-feet. Today, @IJ is in court arguing this ban is unconstitutional.

Day 193 waiting on our "pre-approved" ADU permit. Called for an update.
We learned Mondays are our plan check engineer's day off.
Not just today. Mondays in general.
He makes over $280k a year excluding benefits.

We submitted permits for a 2 bed 2 bath "pre-approved" ADU in Sherman Oaks on October 3rd 2024. That's 186 days ago. Still not approved. It's not in a coastal zone. We're not seeking a variance. It's a by-right ADU that per state law should be approved in 60 days.

@aaron_lubeck @alexisxrivas In some locales, lengthy inaction can trigger a right of action by the property owner to secure immediate approval. I quite like that approach. Strikes me as more workable than litigating it as a taking, which is always hard to win on.
