@MunicipalDreams I’m sure you’ve worked this out, but Google maps will show you buses accurately, and you can just tap in for €1.50 (for 60 mins). Super easy to speed along Colon / Gran Via. Jardi Botanic also a nice, cheap and shady with Casa Fran a good place to take a break close by.

@MunicipalDreams It’s literally the other side of the tracks, but El Observatorio would be my number 1 food recommendation (not open Mondays). Very well worth the walk/bus and actually in a very interesting non-touristy area (from there to Plaça de Patraix and Plaça Enric Granados).

Leaving Valencia soon and sad to be leaving behind Plaça de Manual Granero. Incredible trees giving much-needed shade, variety of playgrounds, outdoor gym, loads and loads of seating and just the most welcoming positive vibes. Truly a common room for the neighbourhood.

sadly this is happening routinely in London……..shouldn’t the waste of embodied carbon. The displacment of residents and or businesses. the destruction of well designed building be legislated against?….. a matter for the law?

Demolition beckons for the fine, modernist French Railways House on Piccadilly (1960-62). Designed by Shaw & Lloyd with signage by Ernő Goldfinger and interiors by Charlotte Perriand, this could so easily have been upgraded for modern office use. Wasteful and wholly unnecessary.
