This is a great multisource text investigation toolset for looted art and many more provenance purposes. I wish we already had the ArtAuth DAO enabled with a great diversity of artlovers and experts (zk ident) to enable Auth consensus clearing in bigger scale. Lets coop!

This from The Atlantic Magazine again shows how difficult it is to authenticate art. With 40-70% being forgeries by some accts. If you don’t see why art w/ a clear provenance on an immutable blockchain won’t be seen as a value add to collectors I don’t know what to tell you. 1/2

@aljaparis NFT technology has nothing to do with the artistic aspects of any art work and vice versa - it only records the transaction (if any) and authentication of the art work. So you’re right - NFTs are not art at all - the art is the art and the tech is the tech.

@cyrusthehermit @guardiantech I agree, but if it’s existing artwork it’s more akin to a licensing agreement. I’d like to see these guys set up a free registry system that allows artists to register their work and opt in or out of AI training.
