@terminallyOL Indie technically just means it's independent, it doesn't have anything to do with the budget. But the term became associated with smaller, lower price point games since that's what most independed devs can afford.

@AsgarZigel hades is a bizarre inclusion too, supergiant games is an independent game studio with something like forty employees. it seems like there's an arbitrary line drawn in how many people are involved and how much money it cost to make, i just want to know where.

the vast majority of babies ever born were raised by parents who would consider live video monitoring of a sleeping baby so excessive they’d be confused by the concept. having a baby is hard in a bunch of ways, but a whole lot of parents are making it much harder than it needs to be. they’re doing their best to shame everyone else into having a harder time than necessary too.

@_a9lim @liminal_warmth I also find the misalignment thing difficult to trust. AIs going rogue is part of every story about AIs, so it is in a way an expected outcome for humans. So the LLM larping as an evil AI could be seen as the most likely outcome for a query.
